Video: The Roots Perform at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics

The Roots made an appearance in Vancity, BC for the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympics but NBC decided not to broadcast “Jimmy Fallon and his house band” on US airwaves. I don’t know if it even played here seeing as I managed to completely avoid watching so much as a second of the Olympics. Applaud me.

Behind the scenes footage of the performance available here. According to OKP, they took the opportunity to perform a new song, in that second clip, called “The Fire” that’s slated to appear on How I Got Over, but they won’t let you the video from outside of the U.S. The irony.
