Video: Lil Wayne – Nino Brown: The Road to Rikers Pt. 3

Lil Wayne gives an update after shooting the Drake video, says he’s about to shoot a video for Shanell… then he shoots 3 more, including one for Rick Ross, and says he’s about to shoot the video for Travis McCoy’s (Gym Class Heroes) “Tattoo Girl.” He might be wrong about some of the song title though, because he got mixed up on the “Afrika Boombata” one.

Me thinks Birdman will get a tattoo of Wanye back to front on his face. That way, while his son is in prision, and whens he’s not too busy running the his Oil and Gas Company, he can look in the mirror and see his son. This way they will never be apart. He can kiss the mirror just like he would kiss his son. (YH)

    ^^^^^^^^

I mean mirrored, not back to front…you get the idea.

  6. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

I remember when Howard Stern’s opinion mattered. It’s actually funny to see him mock Em for being influenced by black culture.

Now if you do that people think YOU’RE the idiot, since it’s 2010 and hip hop’s influence on youth culture is everywhere. And if you had to name one guy responsible for that [not that that’d be fair], it’s Eminem.

BTW, look for Oprah to follow in Howard’s footsteps as far as being irrelevant goes, when she moves to her own channel. Except unlike Howard, she won’t get a huge payoff financially, she’ll actually take a big hit money-wise. Suck for her, not that I feel sorry for her.

The Carter= Best music documentary ever, maybe even better than the Woodstock concert film.

“Standing In The Shadows Of Motown” >>>>> The Carter

Berry Gordy and Motown, and the in house session band, and the Motown Artists were the greatest the collection of talent and the greatest black owned label (maybe ANY color owned label) in music history… the numerous tales of million dollar deals, sex, deceipt, and corruption at Motown dwarf that of any other music entity in recorded history… not to mention more number 1 hits than any label has had, ever ever ever …

    Fade to Black is better..

Seeing a “humble” kanye spititng to Hov >

  16. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

Fade to Black sort of disappointed me. Some dude was telling me how he saw the thing twice in a row because of how good it was too, lol. Got my hopes up.

Plus it doesn’t offer nearly the glimpse into Jay’s life as The Carter did with Wayne.

Just my opinion though, to each his own.

The thing about Ye for me is there’s actually a subtext in his lyrics of him wanting other people to acknowledge his greatness, most likely because he’s not actually sure of it himself. He needs other people to reassure him that he’s great, hence songs like Big Brother, hence his complaining when he doesn’t win awards even though he is well aware of them being set up [MTV], etc. I’m sure everyone knows people who were raised to be like this.

Most people thing Kanye’s arrogant, but I actually think it’s the opposite.

That’s just what I think though.

  25. Mr.Londoner Says:

Truth, he’s been cocky since day 1 but when hes spitting to Hov it’s a different matter..

well u heard “Big Brother” you know..

These “Funk Brothers” are either dead or poor.. pisstake

  26. landlord Says:

    motown books > motown movies

the books is where they really get the inside dirt on how scandalous the record industry is/was …

Mary Wilson – “Dreamgirl: My Life As A Supreme

“Motown: Music Money Sex and Power”

“Supremes: A Saga Of Motown Dreams Success and Betrayal”

  27. NOLAIS504(uptown) Says:

gotta love the greater than less than phenomenon.

    ——-

a fucking crime… they were the greatest band in music history and most died broke…

Berry Gordy was a ruthless sweatshop bossman… but what a opportunistic genius and pimp/hustler he was….

  29. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

    Anyway, I”ve gotta go now.

Take care, folks. If I don’t come back on, good night everyone.

  33. landlord Says:

    the last one…

Diana Ross was a scandalous bitch… and the first hand stories told by the artists are bugged out…

the second one is more business/politics oriented… revolving around Berry Gordy’s power moves… still ill …

the nigga was making millions of dollars off of records and shows and assorted royalties, but he was paying the musicians union scale wages… 61 dollars a day … WTF?… genius if you can get away with it…

at the height of the Supremes success, them broads was making 225 dollars a week… SMH/WTF … even in 1965, im sure that was underpaid in relation to how much loot they made for that nigga
