You really can not fault southern ignorance. The SOUTHERN slave masters did HORRIBLE things to the Africans the English brought over during those times. The NORTHERN slave masters taught the Africans trades, let them read, and allowed them to be free after 10-20 years of work. Most of them went into business themselves after.

So based upon history, southern africans americans have ignorance and stupidity built in to their DNA. They are truly inferior mentally.

This is why we think all this rap is bull shit and we can’t understand why it’s getting so much mainstream attention.

It’s the same ignorant kind supporting them because 75% of them can’t understand words longer than 5 letters.

^ false. Conditioning and DNA have nothing to do with each other, not to mention that a lot of brilliant blacks are from the South, even if they later moved up north

AND it’s a misconception that all southern rappers are ignant. The south has it’s 3000s and
Goodie Mobs just like the north has some crap coming out of it. Yeah, you produced Nas, but you also producer Lil Mama

Cuz rappers be deprived of executive 9 to 5s
And it hurts to see these companies be stealing the life
And I love to give my blood sweat and tears to the mic
So y’all copped the LPs and y’all fiends got dealt
I’m Jesse Jackson on the balcony where King got killed
I survived the livest niggas around
Lasting longer than more than half of you clowns
Look, I used to cook before I had the game took
Either way my change came like Sam Cooke.

  34. Beave Says:

    @ Fresh Huxtable

I wouldn’t call it a “misconception”. The south is CONSISTENTLY putting out shit. They have establish quite the reputation and precedent for shit. “Misconception” My nigga, I’v been to Harlem, Brooklyn,…7 YEAR OLDS SPIT HARDER THAN these clown southern cats. Literally….7 year olds.

AND if you notice, southern rappers that actually DO have some talent, they don’t put it down for the south all like that. They in Manhattan discussing multimillion dollars deals IN MIDTOWN. Not some shack in the middle of Texas.

    @Beave

South Hip Hop isn’t killing SHIT!! I’m from South Florida (Fort Lauderdale) and I’m a producer and I support Waka Flocka, Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy. BUT i also support U-N-I (will be buying the CD when its released on tuesday).

Southern MAINSTREAM (get that shit right) is taking over the radio. Soulja Boy and all them are good at making DANCE song but have no lyrical skills.
If the radio played lyrical and danceable songs it’d be all right but its biased.

I play a range from Iceberg and Gucci Mane all the way to Pac Div, 2pac, and Wale.

Get it right before you start criticizing a WHOLE coast. Everybody in the north doesn’t like lyrical rappers, everybody in the south doesn’t like main stream rappers, everybody from Cali don’t like Cali rappers either.
