Video: Jay Electronica Interview w/ Distortion 2 Static

Jay Electronica gives a brief Exhibit C history and addresses MCs using the instrumental.

It’s rap music, I’ve done it, everybody has. You hear something you like and you just get on it. I wouldn’t expect anything different. It’s a Just Blaze beat too, why wouldn’t you get on it?

He also talks about the inspiration behind the upcoming “Exhibit A” video.

Props to DJ Haylow @ Distortion 2 Static.

I dig Jay Elec’s music, but I never really gave a fuck about when Act II was dropping. To this day, I’m not even sure if its a song or a mixtape. I won.

I think the problem people had was with all the wack shit people were spitting over the Exhibit C instrumental. I mean, if you’re gonna use it, at least try to one up the original. A lot of cats weren’t even trying.

  10. GeoTheSage Says:

btw, Jay needs to stop telling people they did the song in “a few minutes”.
