FINALLY got a chance to listen to new Juelz/Banks. wow. that’s a problem. not sure why cats are HAAAAAAYYYYYYY-10!? wow. i mean, i can kind of understand the hate if you’re from the south. you know, with how the East coast oppressed you guys for so many years and what not. but then again, you guys celebrate Juneteenth, sooooooo. . . . .

. . . back to business. We are w/o a doubt still “on that shit.” anything else would be uncivilized.

  13. Asparaghost Says:

Ever since he apparently got a ghostwriter or something I can’t help but like him.

He always had that good fatass voice that sounds good over dense beats, he just really didn’t know how to rap.

    ^

this holds no weight..it aint like Ross randomly gotten better in the few months, he’s slowly gotten better lyrically over the course of albums..

port of miami, he was the average southern rapper..

Trilla, he was alittle under T.I.’s skill..

nowadays, his alliteration and delivery has stepped up, on some watered down Jay-Z vol. 3 shit..dude been puttin work in..

    quit the 50 stanning

if u asked me, he’s the most improved mainstream rapper..at least he’s getting better, unlike some raaaaapppers, who are fallinnnn into the burrito pit..ol snowboarding mungkey (c) Bawse!

it def hasn’t happened that fast..we aren’t talkin bout some Carter 1 to Carter 2 shit…Ross ain’t get as good as he is until Mafia Music/Cigar Music dropped..Trilla was the boiling point..he been gradually making the step up..

^Well yeah, if Ross/Weezy wrote the verse then I’d expect it to be at LEAST decent.

Ross been nice since his 2nd album. He did some lyrical exercise on that 1st Maybach Music and on that joint with T-Pain. Not really familiar with too many joints off his debut.

Dude, there’s no way you think he was any good on Trilla, let alone a little under T.I’s level. You had to be kidding with that. Ross was always at the mercy of the quality of his beats until DTR.

Fact is, he’s made a huge jump in skill on that third album. This isn’t 50 stanning, frankly I really don’t care at all whether he uses a ghostwriter or not. He was NEVER a shining beacon for authenticity, anyway. With Ross all I can ask for is quality music which he finally provided [independent of the beats he used] on Deeper than Rap.

  33. RNC Chairman Michael Steele Says:

What I mean is that on those first two albums no one would listen to him without the great beats.

Now I don’t get angry when I see he has a guest verse on a song I’m listening to, lol.
