since when did you start looking at sales as a measure of success?
    ============================================
Isn’t that the barometer that everyone around these parts measures success by?

I still say artistically, Relapse is a concept album in the same way American Gangster was. Regardless of what Em was saying, he says shit better then 99% of the rappers in the game.

^all your jayhate is predicated on the idea that he sold out, yet you are defining em’s success by his sales. i never seen someone so obsessed with a rapper he supposedly hates. you know all his songs and all his lyrics. and if you listening to the relapse on the reg, let me confirm it for you: you lost. try em two or three albums ago you better off.

I disagree with this. I know it subjective, but he just hasn’t made any good music in years IMO. There are alot of rappers I’d rather hear.

  7. Cypher Says:

@ 456 im talking about how youre replacin eminem opinion of his work with your own.. i mean shit if you gonna say somthing is a failure you have to give an example of what is consided a success..

or you could just man-up and say you dont like his album

    LOL Stan harder homeboy.

Cats was quick to try & throw dirt on Curtis when his sales first came in.

    Dick riding faggots.

  11. silas aka simon Says:

ems rhyme schems are second to none, im not into the chop people up shit he spite but cot damn its better then the rest of the shit 99% of the trash can juice in hip hop

you can only measure an artist if they are on the same track and we all know how that turned out

^saying i don’t like the album does not require me to “man up”. in fact my first statement regarding the album was “the relapse is garbage”. and i stand by my belief that em feels guilty for putting out subpar work and is trying to make up for it by putting out another album so quickly. something he has NEVER done before.

  13. silas aka simon Says:

    ^^^

its really not the second verse of 3am, technically speaking, is far and away the most advanced use of inners and outers in hip hop

  14. hl Says:

In no way is Em better than Jay-Z. Look at their catalogs. It’s really not even a contest. I’m not talking about sales, but just good music.

  15. 456 Says:

    Who’s talking about Jay-Z?

^BP3 and American Gangster were brought up by you. because jay is your standard bearer. you prove there is a thin line between love and hate.

What is this technically speaking shit? There isn’t a manual on how to write lyrics.

  17. 456 Says:

you can only measure an artist if they are on the same track

    ^lol. this statement is ridiculous.

and jay’s catalog>>>>>em’s catalog and its not even debatable. one is a comedian and a technician, the other is a living embodiment of what hiphop can achieve in all spheres.
