Former Roc-A-Fella recording artist Beanie Sigel recently shared his thoughts on Memphis Bleek’s loyalty to Jay-Z.

Sigel also said he viewed Bleek as the sole survivor of the Roc.

“I mean to me right now, that’s Jay young boy, that’s his lil’ man,” Beanie said in an interview. “Me, honestly, I think Bleek is happy how things are right now. Because now he really gets to be Jay’s lil’ man and it’s evident, you can see it. It’s like he’s the last one who survived. He weathered the storm but the storm didn’t start with the breakup, the storm started when Beanie Sigel got signed to the Roc. He was coming of age when I came. [Laughs.] He’s still coming of age.” (2DopeBoyz)

    RE: Steve Stoute

I was kind of surprised at the reaction that Esquire Jay article got by some Nahggers. The writing style was bewildering, but it was far from a fluff piece. The general thesis seemed to be (to me at least) that Jay is essentially an emperor with no clothes (no), whose strings are being pulled by a master manipulator, Stoute.

  8. b-ease Says:

Puffy is the man. Steve runs shit, but he wasnt big enough (ll) to stop Sean and goons from beating him the fuck up.

That’s what I thought. What good does a guy like that do Jay-Z at this point in his career? Seriously, I been wanting to know this since that recent Esquire article. Cause before that I didn’t even know Jay still did business with stoute.

Columbia has scrapped “Spider-Man 4” and is rebooting its Spider-Man film franchise.

The studio is parting ways with director Sam Raimi and “Spider-Man” stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst and is taking the webslinger’s alter ego, Peter Parker, back to high school.

The new movie, which will still be produced by Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin and Marvel Studios, is eyeing a release in summer 2012.

LOL, I was gonna mention Morbius, but didnt want to play my nerd hand (ll?). He also has a werewolf villan, J Jonah’s son. Look out for both of them to be in the new flick.

Word was that Raimi hated the script, and Columbia wanted the flick in theaters by next summer. Raimi said “fuck that”, and the cast rolled with him.

Exactly. And Raimi and the cast were well aware that Spidey 3 was horrible. The studio was carrying “4” the same way (rushed prod schedule, alot of inteference, hack script) and Raimi couldnt co-sign that shit. Raimi didnt even want Venom in “3”, the suits made him put him in there.

Hmmm…Thiefs Theme is a close call, but I’d rather here Show you How than One Mic any day of the week, no question. That songs kind of pretentious.

was Show You How a single though? I remember that being a mixtape/bonus BP2 track.

    ———–

    that was my point… a bonus song > a single…

but now i dont even think Show You How was a BP2 bonus song… i just think it was near the end of one of the discs…

honestly, Show You How is dope, but it isn’t better than any of Nas’ good singles. Mabey the shitty ones.

i might be one of minority with this opinion.. but i think after the initial beef with nas and jay.. .everything else was, not staged, but it was clear what it was… both of them caked rather nicely off the beef anyway…

i think nas and jay are probably closer than alot of people think. or maybe its just whistful thinking since i respect both artists music so much…

It was, disc 2. But it was recorded around the original Blueprint along with Early this Morning, Murder Marcyville, and another song I cant remember.

It was a big deal at HU when those 4 songs leaked in early spring, so Show You How was mad old to me by the time it appeared on BP2.

Shiiiit – That uptempo first part of Sekou’s Story > Show You How. Nas was straight Rae and Doom-ing on the flow on that.

The second part with the pitch shifted broad’s voice, no so much…

Sure, the lyrics are ill. But i was never impressed by the whisper to yelling flow, or even the beat really. The video was corny as hell too.
