^ I’m very familiar with the nigga Blu, and yea he is ill. But he’s more like a disciple, not the God MC.

  12. landlord Says:

either, Blu has the best ear for beats, blu gets the best beats or blu makes the best beats, cause he STAY rapping over vintage, obscure, great music… between beats made by himself, Exile, or Ta Raach, son has incredible soundscapes to murder …

112 f/ mase and big forgot the name of the song
    hypnotize
    Been around the world remix
    Flava in your ear remixs
    Juicy

That just my opinion. But bad boy is the greatest label in hip hop.

    Bad boy»»death row»»cash money»»no limit»»rocafella»»rap-a-lot

Men lie women lie numbers don’t

P.s def jam was like a major so u can’t put them on that list

  24. soapy Says:

My only beef with Blu is that sometimes he gets lost on those lush beats. Otherwise he’s in my top 5. Thinking about the leaders of the new school XXL issue Blu is clearly the best. I can’t think of another artist (my preference at least) who’s actually lived up to the hype.

LOL.. my bad… in my zeal over the music, i forgot to review my comment for any inadvertant ambiguity …

  30. hl Says:

Blu and Jay Elec comparison makes more sense than Cole and Jay Elec IMO. You could make a strong good argument for Blu.

    Rakim
    Jay-z
    Elec

    ^^^

Nah, each of them have their own lil niche…Jay’s got a bigger one [II], but none of those MCs are seen as universally ill within all circles…

    Aint no god mc.

The God MC = White Jesus. Aint no God MC coming to save hiphop, & I aint waiting for one…

  33. cOLD Says:

You could make a strong good argument for Blu.

^ true, Blu is enlightening, but to me he’s missing that edge, that Jay E got.

^ roffle. I dont know Rigz if we get Land to package a mixtape… there is hope.

  40. landlord Says:

Blu is more versatile and prolific than JayE… im a JayE stan too, but JayE really do gotta step up the work ethic in regards to letting people hear whats going on… he may actually be working hard, but i sure cant tell …

  41. hl Says:

  43. hl Says:

    —-

I dont know about that. Jay Elec got some crazy shit on those random mixtapes floating around. Katrina songs, Girl Songs, Lil Flip Collabs, Battle shit, Tribute songs, Stories, crazy space shit, etc.

Exile and AraaBMUZIK are the most talented cats on the beat machines right now …

AraabMUUZIK just needs the right MC to set his shit off proper… Camron is old and tired, bless his royal heart no homo …

^ let me put it like this… of all the new niggas that put out music within the last few years, I can say whole heartedly, that he is the only cat filled that void (none) of real hip hop that feeds the soul.

  46. G7 Says:

You lose at life homie. Go collect Below the Heavens and bring back a late pass.

Honestly between that album, Her Fav Colour and Johnson and Jonson I believe Blu was a top 5 MC (and producer) between 06 and present.

  56. cOLD Says:

you’ll never catch me referring to some rap artists as a God or God-like. that’s pretty much it. and there people out there that take it that seriously.

  63. RIGZ Says:

who was it that was making esoteric excuses for Jay Elec stuttering?

  64. hl Says:

By everyone? Nope. Whether YOU think they should be is a different question..

LOL now you’re trying to be technical. Of course not every single person in the world thinks they set the standard. But percentage is high enough.

    THIS.

sometimes artists get put on pedestals, worshipped like they can do no wrong…or like theyre simply BEYOND others with no need to show & prove…shit irks me, I cant even lie lol
