I think it is considerably fucked that you guys changed how you do things just because of the quality of one song/ number of stans there are for an artist. This is nah right, people come here expecting to get great music for free (sampling purposes of course). Now one less kid without a credit card can download this and listen to it on his walk to school. This is music that can speak to the kids and show them what real hip-hop is, and you’re going to make them pay for it? Fuck that. Look, if dude puts out an entire album that I can hold in my hand, I will more than likely purchase it. If he goes on a tour, I will definitely buy a ticket and see his show. But c’mon, this is a blog, chill out with your symbolic action and just keep upping great music and distributing the links, don’t grow some sort of conscience.

…… you can’t blame Nah for this, you have to blame Just and Jay E for making it available for retail, Nah can’t post links to retail shit, so by them making it retail nah has no choice, but I’m sure if you look hard enough you can find someone who bought it and upped it for you to happily steal …

Word. Esco used to record demos with with Eric B and the crew when Rakim wouldnt show up. Ra and G Rap definetely knew Nasir was the prophet, even if Ra seems a little irked by that fact now.

tips are optional and earned through excellent or above and beyond, service … fuck tips… we dont believe in making these bastards no more rich and powerful than they already are …

    ^^
So tips are earned thru excellent service, but then its fuck tips? And its a helluva reach to connect leaving a few dollars for the waitress that only makes $4/hour without them to further powering the Establisment. I understand the black nationalist aspect, but this mentality sounds mighty Jewish to me.

And of course I understand not always being able eat at black owned joints, Im just saying that when that is the case, you should opt to eat at home. No more, no less.

My man u believe whats ur faith and I will believe my faith, I was speaking on what I believe I was speaking on the connection jay was making by calling them peter and paul….that’s it….word of advice, ur personal beliefs are YOUR PERSONAL BELIEFS, U DONT HAVE TO PUT THEM ON ANYONE ELSE OR PUT DOWN ANOTHERS BELIEF…That’s the same thing whites did to black slaves, by introducing Christianity

Colbert kinda went in on that Empire State of Mind performance. If they do a studio version, Jay’s original may not get any more airtime.

    _ _ _ _

    I already have it.

Because it is on retail you say? Well funny thing is, if I scroll back just 3 pages to page 4 I will find a post for “Statik Selektah ft. Talib Kweli & Cory Mo – I’m Wit It” with a perfectly good working usershare link. That song is also .99 cents on iTunes and it even says you can cop it on iTunes. That’s funny.
