There’s only one label suited for SH and that’s the one they’re gonna sign to.

    *daps*

My guess has to be shady, obviously those have been the rumors for awhile I haven’t heard any other labels specifically mentioned and if they can work with Em I would think they would think that is ideal, so Shady has to be the favorite

O and Elizabeth could definitely get it

  12. b-ease Says:

actually all majors are wack today.

    ^^
That’s why I don’t understand why a group like Slaughterhouse would want to sign with one. I just don’t see the benefit. An Em collab and a few more marketing dollars isnt going to be enough for them to sell records.

… Normally I’d agree, but I think if Em is going to sign them, at this point in his career, he is going to be real hands on with it and give them a real push, not saying it will translate into sales, but I can’t imagine them getting shelved if Em signs them …

It’s about having resources to make the best product possible.

    ^^
No doubt artists are putting out some bullshit. But the album sale decline this decade has left most unable to muster the budget needed to pay for radio spins, decent videos, and real marketing. If not wack, they’re certainly on the way to becoming obsolete.

  18. landlord Says:

Not signing with a major isnt going to prevent SH from acquring what they need to make dope product, especially since the era of the “superproducer” is over.

See, that’s the thing. Cats are settling for beatmakers instead opf producers and as a result their albums sound like mixtapes.

A major budget would give SH access to heat they wouldn’t otherwise be able to cop.

Super producers can’t help them niggas, point is, nobody really gives a fuck about any of them niggas outside of there hometown and nah right. What’s the point of paying Dr Dre to produce the 13th track on ya album and not use it for a single at that? (Cause you know that is what’s gonna happen anyway.)

^It’s not about the sales (for us, the fans), but that is why them niggas rap on a major scale, shoot videos and seek a contract from a major label tho right? I just think it would be in there best intrest to just do mixtapes as a group, since majority of there fans don’t even buy retail albums. Joe Budden has a 26 billion internet soilders, but can’t sell more records than Jin with SH, shits disgusting B.

  78. b-ease Says:

So what if it doesn’t translate into sales

    ^^
Because that tends to be the reason for a major label deal. Sales and fame. Nobody cares about them selling, we just don’t understand signing since selling records isnt in the cards for them.

I’m still not convinced that a being a “real” label is going to get them better production. Maybe, “bigger” name producers, but whens the last time a Dre improved the quality of an album exponentially? They’d be better off with Alc and Khalil doing most of the tracks with one or two Sean/LV joints thrown in. Don’t need to be on Aftermath to do that. And their pockets stay heavier (ll).
