    @ Yass

enemy of the state was fire. i’ve enjoyed every release from him so far.

    ^

    *daps peklo 17,000 times*

  3. D_Block_4_Life Says:

When is that LASERS shit dropping? It’s been long enough. I wasn’t very impressed with Enemy of State. I feel like did that because someone forced him too…it had a few joints but overall is was meh…maybe i need to listen again.

  4. TheCo!!inB aka Joe88 I Believed In You Says:

chea, what’cha think of ya youngn’s new blog?

  5. Yasser Pair-a-gats Says:

@ d blizzy, it was too short and he needed more original beats. sorry but after So Far Gone and Gone Fishing, niccas can’t just rip beats off the radio any more. sorry but that shit ain’t workin. maybe weezy can do it, because he brings new concepts (No Ceilings was fiya), but nobody else really can or it sounds meh. that being said, for stanleys like me, to hear a whole gang of new lupe verses was like heaven. pause. bottom line if that’s a taste of the flows that will be on lasers – over original beats – then what we have is a masterpeice in the making.

  6. G7 Says:

    >>I feel like did that because someone forced him too…

^being left off that mtv list got to him. hence the more poppy sound to the mixtape. still some dope joints on it though.

yup, he had to rush to get the shit out. plus hello! he has an in-house production team. he has 7 million beats in the can. c’mon lu, open the fucking vault and rip some original beats.

block, you should check that enemy again. it’s the def of a mixtape. not particularly focused, but just some lyrical stunting. it’s cool when established cats get hungry

    BRrrrRRRR!!!

  18. D_Block_4_Life Says:

    @ chea

Word it def needed more original beats. He went for that original mixtape feel…ima give it a few more spins though…and word, ain’t nothing like getting a gang of verses when your stan for an artist…nh

^lol, oh shit, i’m bout to go check that out, right now, BRB.

  20. D_Block_4_Life Says:

Its kind of ill how 1 song can have such an impact on a producers life, word to Al Shux. I know he’s been producing for quite some time in London but just off ESOM, he’ll be receiving checks for a long time to come. The song is really timeless due to it’s subject matter. Good for that nigga.

  21. D_Block_4_Life Says:

Not to mention all the business he’ll get from the states. Might even get a deal.

  22. G7 Says:

    smh @ roy jones

  23. Peklo Says:

the empire beat is beyond ill. it was meant to be an anthem esp after keys got on the hook

  24. Brooklyn Strong aka The Elder Says:

Roy Jones has been washed up for years

  25. D_Block_4_Life Says:

I just read Al Shux produced Lupe’s “High Definition”…that’s one of the cuts off The Cool that gets the most spins in the pod.

  26. Brooklyn Strong aka The Elder Says:

In Roys mind he’s still as fast as he used to be but in reality he’s slow so when he thinks he’s slipping punches that he used to slip he’s actually getting Knocked The Eff Out

  27. Peklo Says:

roy lost the love in the early 2000s…his last decent fight is the one where he went 12 rounds and claimed his hands were hurt. he barely survived and should have bowed out gracefully, but you can’t deny him in his prime. pure entertainment and raw punching power

  28. Brooklyn Strong aka The Elder Says:

Yes its sad watching guys like Roy Jones, AI & Marbury look like they’re performing in cement shoes. I think AI might have something left though. Being unwanted was humbling judging by the way he broke down at the press conference

  29. TheCo!!inB aka Joe88 I Believed In You Says:

no offense D Block but High Definition is ass pudding….

  30. thehoodnerd Says:

    @ D Block

You gotta check that enemy of the state out again. It’s pretty dope. I love some of the wordplay he uses.

  36. rex hussla Says:

ABC News White House correspondent Jake Tapper offers up, via Twitter, a Washington Post correction that addresses what Tapper terms an example of “unreal idiocy.”

    Let’s take a look:

A Nov. 26 article in the District edition of Local Living incorrectly said a Public Enemy song declared 9/11 a joke. The song refers to 911, the emergency phone number.
Oh, yeah! That’s some unreal idiocy all right! Especially considering the article in question was about Public Enemy, the band, and their work in outreach to the homeless. Such an article demands that the reporter have a least some passing knowledge of the subject.

The important distinction between “911” and “9/11” could have been made a number of different ways — by either listening to the song, or reading the title of the song or simply noting that the song “911 Is A Joke” was on an album released on May 26, 1990.

    LMAO

CLEVELAND — NBA commissioner David Stern said in an interview with Sports Illustrated he believes a woman could be playing in the league at some point in the next decade.

Cavaliers forward LeBron James isn’t so sure. The reigning NBA MVP was asked about Stern’s comments prior to the Bulls-Cavaliers game on Friday night.

“Ten years?” James asked. “That’s, like, right around the corner. [In] 10 years, I’ll be 34. I’ll still be in the NBA. I think 10 years is pushing it, honestly.”

“I love all sports,” he continued. “I love watching the girls, especially in the Olympics. They’re wonderful in the WNBA. They’re great. It’s a lot of great players. But 10 years, that’s pushing it. I think that’s pushing it.”
