Jim Jones Responds to Cam’ron: “I Am Dipset”

In the April 2009 issue of XXL magazine Cam confirmed that he owned a majority percentage of the Diplomats. When asked if Jones was upset over the situation, the Harlem rapper got animated.

“I am Dipset,” he replied. “Whoever don’t like it come holla at me. I been Dipset. It started in the projects and ain’t nobody got me out of Apt. 5H but myself…and this is not a publicity stunt. I don’t go around sitting in shopping carts,” he continued, referring to Cam hopping in a cart at the end of the hoodfiles interview, ”I go around getting money. If there’s a problem; there’s a thin line between love and hate.

dam jenny jones always soundin sour as hell about the whole dip situation. Talkin bout he IS dipset?? FOH nigga please jim jones the artist wouldn’t even exist if it wasn’t for cam’ron. Cam was the one who broke through and enabled the whole movement to happen, now Jimmy actin like he been the boss since day one. Fuck this nigga yappin bout?? Like we don’t all remember confessions of fire when he was spittin lil 8 bar verses cuz he didn’t even sound right on the mic. He piggybacked off the strength of Cam’s success to even have a chance in this rap shit. That last album was str8 up trash compared to his others too IMO
All that being said i’d love to see all of dipset come back strong even as solo artist cuz when the group fell off they fell off individually. They compliment each other in a great way but the money and greed always tears music groups apart. RIP Stack bundles he was the next best after cam’ron anyway
