    ^
I hear that but still when the album gets judged as a collective, it’s not fair to not include those songs so the fact still remains that as a whole it’s crack.

Plus, truth be told, in 6 months or so you’ll forget that those songs leaked way before and you’ll see them as part of Street Hop….happens every single time…

Word to wayne rocking Gillie’s chain in the “bring it back” video (that song is flames too) and I remember having the first ever drought (niggas only know about the drought 3) and it had “aint that a bitch” on there, but wasn’t mastered and it had more of his vocals in the double up, pure fucking comedy, this lil nigga was going off in the backround.

aim the shotgun at ya face and bust foward (BOOM BOOM!!!!)

  39. TheCo!!inB Says:

NOT TO MENTION the gentleman club banger on Carter 1 with Jazzy Phae on the hook. There were about 3-5 songs you could take off C1 and it be a hands down classic. If you took all the wack songs off C2 it would be a maxi single.

  45. Smoke Greene Says:

Carter 2 was a great album but Carter 1 was the last great “Cash money” album, with Mannie Fresh production. That shit came after 500 Degrees flopped and it was make it or break it time. I love Carter 2 and think it will go down as his best album, but as far as intensity and raw spit? I was never sold on Lil’ Wayne “The star” until Carter 1.

The reggae joint was a guilty pleasure of mine. So was the fake Buck joint. But yea, the Kurupt collab was pretty awful.

Shooter and Receipt were CRACK tho.

  50. D_Block_4_Life Says:

Joe, why you always pick out a mediocre line and do that? Like every album don’t have those lines…lol

  51. TheCo!!inB Says:

C2 had that fake ass song cry too
I can’t see em coming down my eye, so I gotta make the song cry > It’s kinda hard sayin this shit to ya face so I do it over snares and bass

Now 500 Degrees? THAT was a wack album. I remember hearing the Squad Up tapes and the Grinding Remix and thinking Wayne was about to murder it.

Turns out the Carter 1 was the album I expected 500 Degrees to be.
