    voodoo is a deep album. dude created a totally new sound. niggas really really sleep on it. he didnt follow any of the rules. shit is pure genius.

    ^africa is the business on that album, but some of the album loses focus. r. kelly was on top of his game with the r album and did what d’angelo did on his first album: make rnb that niggas could love. no beggin, no brown nosin. but once d’angelo did the naked video he lost what made him great imo.

    Jay been doing that from get go, he will do a song with you, in order to steal ur fans, so they can see his talents…rmbr jay had nas,biggie, mobb deep and snoop on his first album….(I know I know, they were samples, but they were still there, ask searchlite publishing

    ====
    i know. that’s always been his strategy. BP3 is the same. it pays off.

    ^not true about the first albums, but true about the last two. its the ll cool j move.

    that video and his whole makeover took away from the content of the album unfotunately. but its a weed album forreal.

    Christ people are stupid sometimes…. shots were never at Jay..go listen to Big Dreams off Road Til The Casket Drops its clear the shots are at the other Mr. Carter and every other cat trying (unsuccessfully) to walk in Hov’s shoes by not writing down they rhymes and spitting weak shit….”They HOV lane it/ they don’t pen it/ the difference is the Blue Magic aint in it/ We should form a senate to govern critic opinion/ I watch them them niggas throw away the pennant/ To those who claim to be the heir/ How dare? Pusha naysay it/ them niggas here me and they mayday it/ So I could care les if jay say it? its too political whan Jay say it /he play the game just instant replay it/ the best duo ever I hangman these words together/puttin passion into every letter? this my letter to the vetter/ I Masta Ace you niggas standin in a Master’s place…Fuck out my way!”

    PUSHA HIT the nail right on the head with that verse.

    and you don’t believe at all that Jay wanted Nas on RD? shit he even sampled his voice on Vol.1. I know you defend Jay to the death, but why would Jaz lie about something like that. Jaz didn’t even take any shots at Jay in the interview. The interview is like five years old.

    yeah…but there’s definitely growth there.. listen to Malice’s bars in particular….dude gets real introspective, speaks on the ills of dealing and shit comes over as sincere (if not moreso) than any time Hov spit that ish.

    ^yeah but not to steal their fan base. nas and big were the best out at the time. same reason he put em and ugk and scarface on his other albums. jay always picks the best cats out at the time. with the last two he is trying to stay relevant so he picked the best of the young niggas.

    but the whole situation was one of the most blatantly racist situations in recent history. how many stages has this nigga crashed? and only now does the entire country, including the president weighing in, sit up and have something to say. whats so different about this situation? it was a young white girl.

    ^first of all the president was talking off the cuff. secondly, kanye brought that shit on himself. its like the third time this nigga did that dumb shit. how many times you think you gonna get away with it? sit the fuck down and if you need to cry about it, cry tears into your mattress stuffed with money. bitchass nigga. the racist reaction is predictable. the shit was uncalled for. even krs called the nigga a jackass….
