yall people trying to argue are either naming acts that are 50+ years old, and are just earning money of off residual nostalgia, or they are not earning major money anymore… Marilyn manson?… please… that nigga was never rewarded by mainstream America for his demonry… did he do any sprite commercials or have a reality show?… Ozzie Osborne didnt get mainstream love until he was old, feeble and safe and harmless … crackers wasnt giving Ozzie no airtime or no mainstream love when he was in his prime, just like Cassius Clay … when you old and feeble, then youre no longer a threat… smartenup …

dude?… wtf?… we having a discussion about the status of CURRENT hiphop and its effect on our people … what kind of grown ass man agrees with everything in the newspaper, just because he bought the damn newspaper… the fact that we love the art form but are concerned about its representation is what we SHOULD be saying …

maybe you dont care about our people’s influences… maybe you not even our people …

wtf is wrong with you today B? …

  25. Jersey*made*me Says:

Niggas are missing the point.Genre is irrelevant in the scheme of things. The problem is that once the stereo goes OFF,white children have a history of financial security and higher education to pattern their REAL lives after, while black children buy into these media outlets lies and rhetoric and it becomes their reality.Rappers aren’t the only reason or problem, but they do play a significant part in the demise of civility and morality in young impressionable people of ALL races.

Morph is right on this one.. Look at the stagnation in hip-hop’s content.. Even rappers I like are still money ho’s clothes drugs cars and jewels.. It’s annoying and past played out.. They’re rewarding the fuckery.. Rock folks don’t get to do that, aren’t encouraged to do that.. The argument is that it’s “what the people want”, but is it really? After 15 years of the same subject matter do we really need to hear more clothes and money rap? Fuck that.
