DMX sucks, his “aggresive content” outshined his lyrics, which was usual since he never was mind blowing lyrically, the same way 50 gets flack for being in the right place etc…….DMX should get the same. He had a all star team of producers (grease, swizz) that laced him, he had a audience waiting to get out of the shiny era, and he had a message, i’ll give him that, I won’t take away from his classic albums either, but as far as spitting, he’s ass. Rap one of his verses out loud, w/o the aggresiveness, and rap his lyrics like you would spit them if they was yours, it’ll sound wack.

is ya’ll niggas crazy? ya’ll niggas must be swyaze

R.U.L.E. is prolly his best effort since Venni Vetti Vecci.

I actually liked The Mirror even though there was some generic shit on there. It was good that album never came out cause in today’s musical climate, it woulda bricked.

SMH @ Tah Murder back in the hood looking fucked up.

Irv is is like Dame Dash Jr….with far less talented artists.

Seven (The Producer) > The rest of Murder Inc. (Including Ja).

    *fox news’ it up*

So, you’re saying that 50 Cent = DMX? Or 50 Cent > DMX?

You can break down ANY MC and say the same stuff.. “Yo, take away the beats, delivery, energy, timing, flow, and say the lyrics in every ComicView comedian’s white guy voice, and yo, that ni**a can’t spit!”

Pfff…. X is a trillion times more lyrical than “She says that I’m not hired, now she says I’m fired” or whatever the fuck.

Again, no shots, but this is a preference thing, like how I don’t give a fuck about Mobb Deep.

    damien, the convo >>>

i remember watching tyson come out to the intro to IDAHIH and feelin like i had just injected steroids directly into my soul

  15. Joe 88 Says:

I’ll give DMX 2 classic albums (which is a blessing to ANY rapper) but his music became repetitive after Fomfbomb (flesh of my flesh……….)

then It was X was my joint, but i’ll never forget the old head (that was prolly 30 at the time) telling me that X uses the same formula for ever single, or every song, ruff ryders anthem, sounds like what ya’ll want, which sounds like we right here, which sounds like the solo on the first ruff ryders anthem, he never evolved.

SMH @ niggas that was saying he was nicer than jigga.

DMX couldn’t rap his way out of a wet paper bag.

He could make great, classic songs, but let’s not get it confused like he was a lyrical wordsmith or something. Truthfully, he should get the same flack as niggas like pac and fiddy get (which is both better than him all around the board) but niggas stay giving dog man a pass, he’s one of the worst rappers ever, as far as lyrics

  16. Charles Oakley Says:

    ni**as done started something >

this album had some hype type beats, i’m sure multiple people got shot/stabbed/robbed/raped to this music
