Tronic had a few techno sounding joints on there…I skipped them…Popular Demand was two discs of knocking sampled soul beats and rhymes with bonus instrumentals included….his flow wasn’t as thorough on Tronic, either…
Ima listen to Tronic again today to be sure though… I know there’s 4 or 5 joints I’m really feelin on there

^its probably a personal taste thing. There are 3 or 4 songs on tronic with a “non-techno” sound that are greater than most of popular demand.

I have to admit, I appreciate the synthesizer “technoish” sounds he used, it seems like dude experimented with some oldtime influenced synthesizers like Dilla…..I recently watched some documentaries about synthesizers from the 50s, 60s and 70s (moog e.t.c.) so I could be slightly biased to his process. Plus some of those old synthesizers were used in your favorite soul tunes from the 70s. He also had some live instruments in tronic. But it is what it is.
