I didnt feel I needed to blaze becuase of the emo side of it..I felt I needed to blaze becuase it was just too spacey sounding

  7. b-ease Says:

IMO “Missing You” was the most disgusting form of ghostwriting. Writing a song to your dead homie…that someone else wrote…GTFOH

The fuck??? The Biggie song? The fuck???

Sauce Money wrote it, them sued Puff 7 years later for royalties.

lloyd banks over victory beat > Notorious BIG over victory beat

real talk…he murdered that beat….after I heard banks on that victory beat….BIGs verses on it…seemed like trash…to me..

    Banks is legend.

If you don’t like Lloyd Banks then you don’t respect lyricsm or you dont like hip-hop/rap.

Lloyd Banks was hip hop/rap, lyricism in the human form.

    Lloyd Banks > lord finesse

  10. sean coonery Says:

Diddy has been ghostwritten by ever rapper in the industry…

his best verses were written by Smitty…but when that nigga writes his own shit its trash…smfh

    ^

and not to get all sentimental but i was kinda young when that came out and my nan died that year so the song had extra-sentimental meaning to me [n]. Made me actually like puffy[n]

Even tho the Chronic is a classic…and Doggystyle is what i get down with…

They let other rappers ghostwrite for them…thats a no no…you can never be considered a legend…

I love Snoop and Dre….they made classic hits…greatest duo ever..

Nope, Doggystyle was my shit, and wayyy better overall than the chronic, even tho’ the best songs off of The Chronic were better than the best songs off DS..

and it took me a sec, but I thought you meant BIG’s “Miss U”.. Threw me off cuz of the hook to that, and Puff’s is “I’ll Be Missing You”, but yeah, I knew Sauce wrote that.

Kinda dampens the song for me, but it’s still good to me.

Remeber what Pap did to Uncle Murder?

That last verse was ridiculous…like, seriously…

^Are you talking on the street level or lyrical/music level?

    Pap destroyed pap on wax.

But in the streets Pap lost.

Uncle Murda and goons beat the shit out of Pap’s best friend. Stomped him in the middle of the street.

and Pap’s man got his face cut. Pap ran away like a bitch.

on the street level…Uncle Murda defeated Papoose…

than Pap try to act like he put a hit out on Uncle Murda and got him shot in the head..

    lyrically:
    Pap > uncle murda

    street wise:

    Uncle Murda > Pap

Uncle Murda won the beef. No contest. Pap is a library kid that went to school to better himself.

Uncle Murda was on the block, shooting at cops and selling drugs and murdering other people.

  96. miltee Says:

I would tend to agree from a strictly musical standpoint. They’re both frontloaded as far as sequencing, and lose major steam in their second halves.

^^ They’re such different albums I don’t think they can be compared. Dre’s beats went from that gangsta/gfunk sound, to that loud beat thumping stortch synthesized sound with pianos… Lyrically, they also can’t be compared…just different eras…

D.O.C has said on numerous occasions that he only coached Snoop he never outright penned for him.

Snoop didn’t start actually using a pool of writers until about 3 albums ago.

The Chronic was however a collaborative effort of a lot of people who’re on the album but how that could affect it’s classic status is beyond me. The Chronic changed the game.
