    You think? Nigga, there’s proof.

    Ask Shyne.

Jay hasn’t fucked with Irv in years and that’s the nigga that got him signed.

    Industry is crazy.

    ^^^

Fun Fact, Irv Gotti produced Super Ugly, than next thing you know he was signing nas to murder inc…see mtv award show………..

Was just listening to Diplomatic Immunity (remember that album?) On the song “I Love You”, Cam says:

“I seen in time, business end friendships/ Well fuck it, friendships get ended, business attended/ Clips get extended, lawyers get called, accountants get faxed/ That was my man, well I wish that he meant it, fuck it…”

Is that crazy foreshadowing or what?

Word? Never heard that, and never thought of Super Ugly as even being “produced ” in a traditional sense considering it was just a mash if got urself a gun, and that Dre/Knocturnal joint.

^I don’t watch the Wire, but I kinda agree with that. I mean, he got the name Puffy from allegedly puffin’ his cheeks when he got mad as a youth (fuckin’ hilarious). I still can’t fathom this nigga beatin’ the breaks off Special K with one of those old, big ass cell phones when he pressed him about some money. In a restaurant at that.

My manz is from Mount V. and said them ninjas was wild up there.
    ^^^

Thats one thing i like about older hip hop heads, they rmbr all this crazy shit ( damn hip hop was mch better back than, not just the music, but we all were fans) ok back to the story, yea that was crazy about the big ass cell phone, but than i thought about steve stoute and than it all made sense….

^How can anyone forget that moment. That shit is stapled in history. That was the first time his goon hand had ever become public. I was like… Puff? A champagne bottle? GTFOH. That shit boosted up the expectations for Nas album. I think Hate Me Now was probably the catalyst for the this still ongoing “they hate me” movement. The gift and the curse.

^My only problem is that’s EXACTLY what we expected (thought Ghetto Techno is a personal favorite and should’ve made the album). Hopefully he will decide to go “left” on the next album. When I seen the numerous amount of “popular” features and the same ol’ producers I was really already (I know those words don’t go together) to hate. Like, I did some hater jumpin’ jacks before I logged on. But like I said the album doesn’t suck. He tried some new flows that aint bad. I’m just ready to hear new sounds. It’s a hipster album which I would have preferred to be done by an actual hipster.

Or at least holla at the legends. But this monotonous production is a deal breaker for me. I need to hear some NEXT shit. It can still sound like Hove, just add somethin’ new. Some moroccas. A tambourine. Coke bottle flutes. Somethin’ nigga.

I mean, he claim Off the Wall is his favorite album right now. Does he not listen to the end of that album when Mike, Janet, and Tito was sittin’ around tappin’ on glass bottles and put a beat together for “Workin Day and Night”? I think Em’s album is very well produced, very well written, very well put together…

But that SH album…man, that’s a good albom. Vintage Hip-Hop circa 1997 type shit.

  177. Rockabye Says:

And just because life took ’em to Virginny doesn’t mean they don’t consider themselves heirs to the hyper-lyrical “NY” sound. ‘Cause they do.

^^Em’s album is like if you got the best architects and builders together to build a 50-foot replica of a piece of shit. It’s technically impressive, but I have no use for that.

Nah, you’re downplaying how creative that dude is. Conceptually & lyrically, Em is never afraid to go there. You may not deem it album of the year but give that white boy his props.

Eminem is probably the best technical lyricist since Big Pun… but that doesn’t mean he’s been saying anything lately. Call me crazy, but I didn’t even bother to listen to Relapse.

  191. Rockabye Says:

    Relapse > BP3

    You knew it was coming

    ^

See, to me it’s like this: Relapse is a rapper’s album. Eminem can write a poem like a Swiss watch with his pen, intricately woven and elaborately constructed, and Relapse was that many times over. But he’s told those same stories before, and better.

Hov, on BP3, is in ish-talking raconteur mode. He’s rapping, sure, sounding more inspired than he has in a while. But he’s telling stories and breaking new ground in finding ways to explain his life. It sounds, and is, more real than most of Relapse. And I prefer it.

  192. AmpGeez a.k.a Roll That S#!t, Light That S#!t, Smoke That S#!T Says:

There they go, packin’ stadiums as Shady spits his flow
Nuts they go, macademia, and they go so ballistic, whoa
He can make them look like bozos, he’s wonderin’ if he should spit this slow
Fuck no, go for broke, his cup just runneth over, oh, no
He ain’t had it with bars like this since the last time that he overdosed
They been waitin’ patiently for Pinocchio to poke his nose
Back into the game and they know rap’ll never be the same as before
Bashin’ in the brains of these hos, and establishin’ a name as he goes
The passion and the flame is ignited, you can’t put it out once we light it
This shit is exactly what the fuck that I’m talkin’ about when we riot
You dealin’ with a few true villians who stand inside of the booth true spillin’

  194. ThatMan Says:

I won’t hate on Eminem (his Stan track was/is powerful), but I never really been that interested in listening to an entire album from him.

His repetitive formula for releasing singles always turns me off.

But he’s telling stories and breaking new ground in finding ways to explain his life.
    ============================================
No he is not. There’s nothing remotely new on BP3. Nothing. It’s only purpose it seems is to pacify his own ego. Hov thinks he’s being revolutionary but he’s following trends like every other rapper out there.

  196. MK47 Says:

Nah, see, you can’t say that. 3am, Same Song & Dance & Underground are as creative as anything on Slaughterhouse

^^I did like Underground, even if the chorus seemed off-beat. I like My Mom a lot too, mainly for the beat but also because he manages to rap without resorting to horror-core bullshit. I hope he uses Underground as the jump-off to the next album and keeps in that mindset, dropping the silly voices in favour of actual content.

If Em comes with that Forever flow on the next one, and gets up off his fantasy shit, it could be epic…..Dre’s third comeback.

  222. Coogi Down Says:

Pap’s problem was that he released the wrong singles……people turned on him after he touted having a hip-hop legend on his single and it ended up being Snoop Dogg in full-on “I could care less” mode and then following it up with the god-awful “Fitted Hat Low” song

  224. Coogi Down Says:

Dr. Dre also needs to drop an album, or some music, don’t even call it Detox, just a few joints so I can finally believe he’s not just weightlifting and ghost producing, Relapse had decent production, but it was a fun game to figure out which beats Dre recycled…i.e. “My Mom” sounding like a carbon copy of “What’s The Difference”

  225. YC Says:

We already paid for the first one, don’t give us the same shit with make up on it.

All they need to do is get some Black-owned businesses down there and some import goods from up North so that the locals can stop dressing 3 years behind the time.

^Yoooooooooooo, I copped a whole outfit that day thinking I was gonna get in it that night, had the nautica pajamas with nothing but the boat signs going up and down them joints, thie colors wat the Twins colors (baseball team), copped a twins hat with the TC on it, a shirt, everything, I was crushed when we didn’t go in, I rocked my PJs down the inner harbor that night, I talked to a few chicks with em on, lol, after I explained the situation they felt my pain and did laugh cause i’m walking around the city in pjs.

But in the end, I saved that outfit for the pajama party I was talking about, yoooooooo, if I wasn’t so drunk I could’ve met my wife in there. lol. word was (cause I blacked out) it was 2 chicks that was asking about me (bad chicks) when the party was over, but I was already asleep in the wheels

FTR, I heard my lil’ cousin be killin’ ’em with the parties in B’more now. He’s a lil’ bit younger than you so you might not be familiar with him. But he’s from Douglas Homes and popular with quite a few people on that side. I should hit him up and see if trying to throw a party when he get back from Eastern Shore. That ninja got heffas on deck. Laid back quiet ninja. I remember I saw his senior prom pic about two years ago. He had about 6 heffas with him.
