Track Thirteen: Placed alongside some of these other joints, Timbaland cooked up some much needed heat on this album & “Reminder” is the standout. Again, Hov is running down his achievements and accomplishments.

i just wish he could’ve just limited that kinda talk to this song & not the entire LP.

The best Timbo track. Reminds me of OG Blueprint Hov. This is vintage Jay-Z/Timbaland.

Track Fourteen: Pharrell delivers with the track & nails the hook (even though he rips the bassline from “Smile”). The album should’ve had more of this conversational Jay-Z. Talking real life shit instead of condemming the youth for being young and constantly reminding us of how great he “used” to be.

    This song is dope though.

“I’m different, I can base what i’m gon’ be off of what everybody isn’t, they don’t listen…”

    It’s definitely decent. I mean, it’s friggin’ Jay-Z.

I think there was too much emphasis on being different instead of just making some good Hip-Hop records. But Hov’s prolly tired of doing the same ol’ shit & wanted to do some new shit.

I’m interested to see how the general public recieves this one cause I don’t think the “streets” are ready for this.

Track Fifteen: Really going left on this one. “Beach Chair” left, only not as high brow. Lyrically dope, butthis is not the track to end the album on. Too much of this VH1 Hov is not a good thing.

    Overall…

    BP3 gets 7 outta 10.

Ok, yeah I see..he’s going for the mass audience…Hov has a lot of corporate exec/ceo stans and fans….Plus he has a lot of sophisticated women fans such as doctors, lawyers, actuaries….so he’s going safe in that route…that forever young is appealing to the cold play crowd…
