Still, all three were beneath Tim’s usual standard. The tracks on his last couple of projects have been way better then what he gave Jay. There is no “Dirt Off Your Shoulders” or “Big Pimpin'” in this crop of records.

I don’t listen to Ye, Wayne, Drake and Em on a consistent basis at all. My reaction when I heard about the song was “Oh, they did a song together”. That’s why I haven’t jumped at the chance to listen to it. That’s all.

I can’t comment on the song because I haven’t heard it. I’m just talking about the prospect of listening to it, that’s all…

Like, if God created some opportunity where Nas, Jay, Ghost and Freeway did a song together, then I’d go apeshit lol … this jawn, not so much…

Those Timbo & Magoo days are long gone my nigga .. “I thought you heard/If you don’t know, the bird is the word/Yes the bird bird bird, the bird is the word/The bird bird bird, the bird is the word” ass nigga

^Joe I don’t agree with you. As a rapper, you know that not every single rhyme you make will be fire line for line. Same thing goes for producers. The shit may sound crazy in your head, but once you lay it down, and hear it, it may just be aight, or even trash. Thats not what makes him a super producer. The volume of tracks that are insanely crazy is what makes that distinction

Yeah some cats do jack the new shit like it’s gold or meant to be respected because it’s freah, but when the music is good, it’s good. Lately there’s been a lot of good music that went underappreciated. People hear the song once and call it whack, not saying that something is wrong with your judgment just saying you should give it a good listen before you label it the worst shit in the world….you said it yourself, you’ve had songs for months and just realize how dope they are….people should keep that in mind

Even if he leaked those joints, this video was a result of the poor response to his BP3 contributions. With an album on the way, he had to say something to save face.

^Yeah, I know every line isnt gonna be fire, or every beat, but none of his beats should be on some 12 year old soundclick shit, even if it is, it should never see the light of day. I know everything isnt gonna be pure fire, but I think amp said tim gave him (jay) hot garbage, that’s really what I was responding on, no producer or rapper should have hot garbage in the collection, it could be slightly below average, but hot garbage? say the lyrics are on steroids then in the same 16 hours to say he’s LL status just doesn’t add up, ya need more potent disdain.

that’s not saying much. Jay only got suckers on his album(except Kanye & Jeezy). He should’ve hollered at some niggas(||) that can actually spit like Jada, Beans, Rae, Nas etc.
    ===============================================================
Which only shows who he’s making this album for.

    And it ain’t for me.

Nit picking for the loss, niggas is finding to many reasons not to like any new Hov, if you don’t like it then cool but the say the lyrics are on steroids then in the same 16 hours to say he’s LL status just doesn’t add up, ya need more potent disdain.

    Daps

^ D_block you cant front and say he didnt LL himself… its the combination of flow and instrumental, that came off LL-ish. But I stand by the lyrics… like I said if I had those lyrics over an iller track, it’ll be good.

Whats the word on the shit i sent you? did you have most of the unreleased?

^Oh shit, I didn’t even check my email this morning, too busy listening to State p. And my Ipod pulled a cam’ron and jumped out the casket on me this morning, I was shocked to see that shit lighting up, i’ma check it out within the next 15 minutes, gotta finish the state p album first.

This is one of the few albums I can listen to all the way threw, can’t break tradition

    c’mon Joe.

it wasnt so much that it was different as that it sounded like a slight evolutionary step for hip hop.

in the moment of that release he personified a culture. he had a foot in both hip hop and rnb and his content was familiar but completely fresh.

Vick is overrated as a QB but he made up for it with his other skills. I don’t expect miracles but if anyone can turn a marginally-good Black QB into something, it’s Andy Reid

oh wow, that’s an interesting one. . . . i gotta give the edge to recession. . . b/c of put on.

kanye had the best verse of 2008 w/ that song.

you really think the content of that record lends itself to a primo/alc beat?? That song is a single for the clubs, not an album cut for the whip.

    oh, and boi1da spazzed w/ that track. . . .

^ correct me if Im wrong but isnt so ghetto a preemo joint that also translated well into a club banger?

That shit still goes, despite the midget.

  103. Joe 88 Says:

A dark room? If that’s what I think it is, I’m appalled and intrigued at the same time…

^What do you think it is? I’m curious (pause) to know what you think it is.

  104. cOLD Says:

Yo.. career crook, nobody rap Brooklyn like me

  105. Geronimo P Says:

@ Cici… i’m interested to see wha Vick can do.. We all know he had an arm, that was never a problem, Dude couldn’t read coverage 4 shit , i’m interested to see if he’s progressed in that sense.. i expect him to be rusty, i’m jus wondering if he can read the coverage, go thru his prgression n hit the check down..

^That shit won’t happen until Vick loses his speed. Thats what usually happens with mobile/scrambling QBs. If they don’t have a good QB vision from the beginning, they usually won’t get it until they lose a step or slow down, cuz they rely too heavily on their athleticism.

Cunningham, McNabb, Culpepper, Young all became better QBs after they stopped outrunning opponents. But even when Vick slows down, he’ll still be hella faster all linemen and most LBs.

I still think this team was a horrible fit for him(none).. He’s not a classic drop-back QB, they run a classic timing based offense… Maybe i’m wrong, and he’ll actually progress and learn to read coverages and throw the ball accurately.. West Coast Offenses jus don’t work for him… Shoutout to Dan Reeves, whom was creative and did some interest things w/ Vick(nh) and catered 2 his strengths and was successful with it
