**The Wire had some ill dialogue/storylines…I can’t wait for David Simon to do his show about New Orleans, if that ever happens….the Corner was my joint, too…so was Homicide- now it’s time to see if the formula works outside of B-more…

^ is there any level of exploitation, that concerns you though…

**To a degree, it always kind of bothered me that the head writers were white- David Simon, George Pelicanos, Richard Price, etc. , but as long as they can tell authentic stories, I really don’t have a problem…sometimes the Wire’s dialect threw me off, like, some niggas talked like slaves, lol…especially back when Avon Barksdale’s nephew was in the mix—even snoop’s “Who young leek be” sentence—I don’t know anybody that ends sentences with “be”…

I also watched the episode where chris beat mike’s step-dad to death that scene was epic, snoops face was like Got Damn. Her face was priceless ….

Shit, i still thought he was. news to me

  42. herbal kint Says:

the reason why the “exploitation” of The Wire never bothered me much was cause both the dudes who created it used real characters and stories from which they seen and worked with, David Simon worked for the Baltimore Sun forever and really seen all that shit, and other dude was a cop in b-more, so they used real people and stories to base the shit off of, plus they did ill shit like hire snoop, who had no acting experience and was straight out of jail and the deacon was basically Avon in real life, once he got let out he hooked up with them and they put him on the show to give him a job and stay out of the street

  43. Mr. i don't give fidduck abidout the shit that you commented Says:

^Me too, you can tell who was forcing the accent and who was really from here, my favorite scenes are the ones with snoop, she was the most authentic actor on the wire imo.

I hated the way omar said newports, no one says “nu potes” down here, lol
