Video: Joe Budden Speaks On Incident, Challenges Raekwon To A “Square Dance”

I guess it’s not over… SMFH.

At 3:10, Budden challenges Raekwon to a “square dance” (“Go around the corner, go lock yourself in a room. And whoever comes out, comes out.”) Claims Raekwon refused because he said “he hasn’t had a square dance in 30 years.”

Says he’s in possession of IceWaterTV’s flash drive, but he doesn’t know if they made a duplicate.

Joe Budden feat. Slaughterhouse – We Outta Here,
Off Escape Route, dropping tomorrow @ AmalgamDigital.com.

This dude is a lame. What’s a diss track from him really mean anyway? These “battles” are fabricated, anything he does on wax doesn’t mean shit. Saigon aired out his son calling him a faggot and all sorts of wild shit and they “squashed” it a day later. Even talked about doing music. Homie, if you go all out and call my son wild shit like that…unless you suck my dick [ll], we’ll never be friends. Just ice your eye buddy

i thought respect made someone a boss…not money Tony Yayo can go to Queens and get respect but cant get it anywhere else to get it…Rae gets respect in EVERY single city and town he goes to

This is out of hand!!! Someone talk some sense to dude

  7. NowwhY Says:

    @Eastern_Digital

Cuban linx made a lane for alot of those rappers on your list. Yeah Rae got duds, but you got a 2 snitches, 1 cop, and a gay dude on your list. If you thinking Boss=$$$ then your list makes sense. But when it’s about hip hop then Rae is like the father to 90% of these cats, and gets crazy respect from most of them too.

    No shots

If we start talking bosses everyone in the rap game is a “boss” in their own right.. but Chill niggas aint lookin up to Rae like he the godfather, Jay,50, Tip are REAL bosses nah mean?

reading comprehension fail. what part of the word industry dont you understand?

shit backpackin niggas like Swollen Members or them Def Jux crackers get mad respect all over the globe. does this give them any kind of boss status? didn’t think so.

These Wu-Tang niggas is still great and stay puttin out good music no doubt but except for Ghost they arent on anybodys radar.

Will somebody put this fraud out of his misery. Don’t get all tough Tony now Joe. If you wanted to pop off you couldve when it was you Rae and the Jewish dude in the room. SMH Where’s Joe 88 or Jimmy Valentine lets go slap this nigga and get some rap recognition. lol

  11. heightsy Says:

“This has to be Peter Rosenberg”

    not peter rosenberg.

“Worry more about Ciph firing you instead of what i think you fat jew bastard”

i’m a tall, thin, african-american male. why you would guess rosenberg, i have no idea. maybe sasha frere-jones from the new yorker…

and if i shouldn’t care what you think, perhaps you shouldn’t be writing on messageboards. and yes, i do care what you think, because your thoughts are stupid and i want to fix that.

“He has one classic solo album (which is number 4 in my top 5) and another classic album with the wu, point taken. But what has he done since then? repeated duds and basically a underachieved as far as the way he started his career. If people do recognize him its purely on what he has done in the 90s.. DEFINITELY not over what hes done lately. This is the same “boss” who had to make a sequel of his Classic project in order to get any buzz. Fuck being an “elder statesmen” look at LL”

while, i would give rae more than 2 classic albums— 2 CLASSICS are still pretty good for elder statesman status, i think. i mean, vs NO classic albums (budden)

do we regard artists with many “pretty good” albums as elder statesmen/stateswomen? Or do we save that for those with classic status? i mean, after all, wouldn’t you agree that classics start movements because classics are usually pretty damn influential? or not.

“This is the same “boss” who had to make a sequel of his Classic project in order to get any buzz.

it’s pretty well known that in an artists career arc they revisit their earlier sound.
(beatles-let it be, (your precious) q-tip on the renaissance, jay-z with the blueprint 3…)

and i see you changed your sn, because i suppose you realize it’s sophomoric in the way the teenage girls write the names of their favorite boy bands on their notebooks.

  12. MK47 Says:

Land like Charles Hamilton and Game/Luda/Tip/Wayne/Cam/Ye/Ross are all bosses? This is one of the funniest threads I’ve seen on Nah in a long time.

  13. heightsy Says:

regarding everyone who has arguments that boil down to “rae isn’t on the radio like tip, jay-z, and wayne or as rich, therefore he ain’t a boss”

    let’s do a thought experiment.

say you had mick jagger from the rolling stones, plant and page from zeppelin, and eric burdon from the animals sitting in a room.

then muddy waters and albert king walk in, guitar cases in hand.

a hush blankets the room. page and plant are like, ‘holy shit, two gods just stepped in.’

burdon and jagger say, ‘who gives a fuck about those two old black bluesmen?Sure we were influenced by them but they don’t matter since they haven’t done anything in years. What do they have? A couple famous 45s?”

hopefully , this puts something in perspective. one can be an elder statesmen, ie BOSS based on classic album status and starting movements. The fact that there is such disagreement about this shows that hip-hop is one of the worst genres at respecting its elder statesmen. Do you have any idea how long the ramones recorded shit material and were still regarded as legends? or why paul mcartney and lou reed can still tour to this day? hell james brown toured till the day he died and earth, wind, and fire can still command a touring audience.

legends are legends based on classic material and influence. not money and current radio play.

^^^ yo, eastern, that was the dumbest statement ever typed on the internet. yayo can’t even get a release date to put an album out, how the f**k is he a boss compared to anybody, let alone raekwon who can still sell out shows all over the WORLD. seriously, if rae wanted to do a show in okinawa or berlin or lagos, he’d sell out a club date in any of those cities. who the f**k would pay money to see a tony yayo solo show? LMFAO. you think if yayo left g-unit and tried to get a solo deal anywhere that he wouldn’t get laughed out of every record label office in new york city? whereas raekwon could get a deal at any label…it would be a 360 deal and he’d get jerked, but he’s WAY more viable than yayo as a solo artist. you must be on angel dust.

    raekwon = pussy ass bitch
but i do think joe shoulda challenged this fat fuck in LA when crooked had all those crips ready to ride

  20. CHILE ! Says:

Sounds reasonable, i mean..rae who actually went to the room with 6 dudes and shit, and he’s not even the one who punched him out but when is on a camera he talks reckless too, so the fair thing to do its a mano-a-mano..its an effective method to solve problems WORLDWIDE

  21. COMPTON LARRY Says:

all these joe bloggens riders are white and/or from montana

  22. Bruh Mane from the FIF FLOOR Says:

once again…wit all the sick my goons talk in rap, why when it really happens the boss is seen as a bitch for sending the goons?

  23. sociopath Says:

This nigga Raekwon pulled a bitch move real talk. If you’re a boss, then you simply sit down and have a convo with the dude and that’s that. What, he was scared of little Joe Budden and thought he needed backup? What was Joe gonna do snuff him? The beef was already over when he and Meth squashed it. Funny how Rae got an album coming out with no previous buzz (except MAYBE in New York) and all of a sudden you want to pull this bullshit? I like Raekwon’s Cuban Linx too and consider that in my top 3 hip hop albums ever, but that was still a bitch move. What’s this dude about 40 years old? You still trying to live out that Wu-Gambino bullshit? Come to Crooked I and all those REAL gangsta niggas in the west with that fake ass thug shit and see what happens. Better yet actually go bar for bar with Joey or fist to fist and see what happens. Old ass nigga stick to finally trying to live up to the potential you showed on Cuban Linx.

  24. aEKO Says:

    When rappers hamiltonize –> LMAO

But it’s true…It seems like these rappers start doing their “imafamousrapper.tv” Blog/Vlog/Twog/Peestream whatever thing and then can’t cope with the low to medium attention they get.
Then they’re like “Oh, I gots teh internets going nuts , I gotta give em what they need” and start talking about stupid shit on their Vlogs. Some of them also seem to think slower than their mouth spits out words *nojoebudden*

Joe is going to talk himself into some serious business sooner or later, I’m already picturing the Video Title on Worldstar “Joe Budden Getting Suckerpunched By Wu-Tang Fan Getting His Jaw Broken” or some ish like that

  25. JDre Says:

Joey mad he Got Styled on hahaha

  26. Ron Says:

Joe is a suker for not putting hands on Rae when he had the chance. I kinda thought he was a sucka some time ago. However, this shit has exposed raekwon more than anybody. No diss to all you WU stans…..Raekwon is not known for putting any kind of work in (unlike Ghost and U-god). I definitely need to see Rae scrap with this nigga. These new niggas in NY just give anybody a pass with a Yankee fitted. 50 directly disrespected that nigga and Pistol Pete KAR backed him down. Whats really good Rae??

  27. kelito-vision Says:

damn…that Slaughterhouse song is fire…..Sgt. Slaughter is ethering Canada right now lmao

  28. sociopath Says:

  37. Industry Says:

What was said below is some of the weakest lamest shit I’ve ever heard in my life. Because your GROUP sold records in a the music industry makes you absolved from being a man and going one on one in a fist fight instead of going 6 on 1? Thats some lame ass stupid ass hood shit. Rae did this because his album is coming out. Whats even MORE crazier is that everybody always saying that Joe starts these beefs…every beef he been in has been because the other dudes were sensitive. Saigon was sensitive over a line that WASN’T a diss….Game was sensitive over a line that WASN’T a diss, Ransom got sensitive because Joe put his other boy Hitchcock on a song that was on JOE’S mixtape and Ransom should have just been happy that Joe put him on a song PERIOD and the Meth situation that Joe could’ve handled differently. You guys need to stop jumping on these bandwagons and start thinking for yourselves.

why the fuck would rae squaredance with this dude? rae is a fucking legend. rae is a boss in the rap game. that’s why rae can step up with 6 dudes and it’s ok. what does budden expect?

i hate to go mafioso cliche on this shit. but rae is a boss, bosses don’t have to get their hands dirty.

    it’s fucking self evident.
