Video: Raekwon – 30 Days Vlog

In front of the fountain probably wasn’t the best place to stand Rae.

Yo…Nas/Damien Marley was some epic shit yesterday though. I can’t believe I saw people on here saying that set was lame. Nas classics with Green Lantern on the tables and a full band? Jr Gong doin’ his own shit and Marley classics too. I’m telling you…that shit was just some surreal shit.

I saw half of Rae’s set and he started off with that House of Flying Daggers. DAMN. I was a little under-whelmed when I first heard that track but computer speakers and even my car speakers don’t do that beat justice. Through that huge sound system that shit was riot inducing…I felt like punching dude standing next to me for no reason.

  7. dogg91702 Says:

The Cream verse during Busta’s set was tight. I was pissed though because I thought Reakwon would have been on the main stage, I missed him on the small stage, after watching a song from necro I stayed on the hill.

After badmouthing Wu-Tang at a concert, Bad Boy recording artist Mase had a run-in with Ghostface and his entourage at a club in New York City. There was some sort of physical altercation between Mase’s and Ghostface’s camps, and Mase left the incident with a broken jaw. Kanye West is among several rappers who have made reference to the incident, rapping “…if you could feel how my face felt/ You would know how Mase felt…” on his single “Through the Wire”. Shyheim also referred to the incident in a freestyle, with the line “The Empire State, where Ghostface retired Mase”. In the June 2007 issue of Hip Hop Connection magazine, Wu-Tang affiliate Cilvaringz stated that Ghostface had in fact done time in jail for “beating up” Mase.

Why is hip hop the only genre of music that has artists that can’t co-exist. There’s a bunch of bands and alternative artists that have huge fan bases with no competition but hip hop artists are fighting for 1 imaginary top slot. How sad. It’s almost like we feel we don’t deserve that stardom so we have to fight for the one so called slot given to our culture. That’s some slave mentality syndrome we are stuck in. Shit like this kills hip hop more than it helps. Shows are the only way us artists really eat and now we have the elders destroying that avenue.
