Video: Exile x VTech

This dude never ceases to amaze me with his creativity.

Recently the Mochilla crew (http://mochilla.com/) came thru Exile’s home studio w/ VTech’s WiFi internet radio where one can have access to over 11,000 free internet radio stations worldwide. On the fly, Exile sampled sounds from their WiFi internet radio and made a beat, similar to how Exile constructed his recent release, “Radio” via Plug Research.

So yeah, this clip, while cool, is also effectively an ad for VTech’s new Wi-Fi internet radio. I have to admit though, that thing does look pretty nifty.

Grab an mp3 of the finished mix here.

  11. Apollo Says:

    Lyrically…

    Jay=Nas

Thats probably the closest to a fact as we’ll get. Jay’s debut album was on the same level as illmatic, if not better.

    RD>Illmatic

  12. The-XFacta Says:

    Keri Hilson>Amerie
    Beyonce>Amerie
    J-Hud>Amerie

  17. Mr. Hannukah Says:

what rap fans will never understand – and it truly hurts my heart – is that nas could’ve won the battle (which he did) but jay is still a better rapper (which he is)

  18. Big_seth Says:

You still keep in contact with her?

or did she forget about seeing & setting it? LOL

That might be true. But Illmatic probably had some influence on Jay so let’s compare their work in 1996. I can’t say that RD is more lyrical than It Was Written. Just can’t.

  23. The-XFacta Says:

lol nah, we was mad cool but shortly after graduation i grew a long beard, went to Hajj and then got married so i was on my deen something surrious

i alienated a lot of old friends because i was trying to be religulous but now i look back at the old me like “stop that akhi” — worst thing u can do is let religion make you think you have to change your friends — if you’re truly a better person then you’ll change your friends i.e. make them more spiritual (no pastor mason)

As dope as It was written was, it had too many flaws, inconsistent. That nigga did a 360. No stannery, but RD was kinda flawless from front to back. Every beat was perfect except for cashmere thoughts.
