Kanye West x Mr Hudson at iTunes Festival 2009

Above they perform an acoustic version of “Heartless,” which sorta sounds like Kanye got inspired by the American Idol contestant who performed his song on the guitar. Kanye even told the ladies of The View that that guy made it sound better than him. Spotted at Mr Hudson’s blog.

I just thought that it was only slightly contrived, & I think you are sayin the whole thing was bunk? I could be wrong. I partially agree with you, but also amp, & Co!!in & them.

nah i think it came from the heart. he believes in the message but he felt the need to deliver it for black ears, that was what erked me.

and it speaks tp somethin deeper.

Obama should be most comfortable being himself in front of a black audience, but thats when he puts on the greatest shows…..and it kinda goes back to black folk generally speaking, not liking or celebrating individuality….

I agree. I think he meant what he said, but he is probably not very comfortable in those situations. My guess is because Bill O Rielly is on stand by watching for him to say something slightly pro black.

Its for the media also which skews his delivery.

  17. Big_seth Says:

For instance if Obama draws inspiration from Malcolm X (which its obvious he does) He would be chastised & ridiculed for months & he has more important things to focus on.

So instead he makes something more PC for black folks even though he feels at home in those situations (i assume) & it comes of slightly awkward.

I think he felt at home, but couldn’t really do him & that’s where the awkwardness comes up. White folks were still watching & them conservatives can’t wait for him to show some black righteousness & turn the country against him.

  33. PHENOMENON Says:

and my interpretation is exactly the opposite.

as Big Seth said, the whole preacher routine was actually NOT him doing him,

but instead doing what he thought the crowd wanted to hear and would respond to.

but u know what? its politics and the whole thing is a show, so its almost not even worth breakin down like that
