first actual music video i’ve watched in a hot minute. that beat is better suited for royce & crook, good call on joey & joell splittin their 16’s. what’s up with joe & joell’s chemisty at the end of the video? kinda awkward; smiling at each other n ish. and just a heads up to the wardrobe person in charge of the next slaughterhouse video, get joell a t-shirt or sumthin.

  37. rex hussla Says:

SAO PAULO — The wife of former boxing champion Arturo Gatti was detained as a suspect by Brazilian authorities Sunday following his death at a posh seaside resort.

Police said 23-year-old Amanda Rodrigues was taken into custody after contradictions in her interrogation. Gatti’s body was found early Saturday in a hotel room at the Porto de Galinhas resort in northeastern Brazil.

The former junior welterweight champion was apparently strangled with the strap of a purse, which was found at the scene with blood stains, said Milena Saraiva, a spokeswoman for the Pernambuco state civil police. She told The Associated Press that the Canadian also had a head injury.

The investigation was not complete, but Saraiva said authorities were preparing to present a formal accusation against Rodrigues, who denied being involved in her husband’s death.

Police said Rodrigues, a Brazilian, could not explain how she spent nearly 10 hours in the room without noticing that Gatti was already dead.

I mean, there’s just no way you can hear Young Chris circa ’99-01, then hear Hov on BP2 and BA and not see what happened. No way.

Jay has made a career of co-opting other rappers styles and improving and altering them to suit his own needs. From Jaz, to Big L, to Nas, to BIG, to Chris, and on KC and AG the more melodic stylings of Ye and Fif. This isnt a shot or me trying to expose Hov as a biter, his ability to do this is one of the reasons he’s been able to keep his spot longer than anyone in hiphop history.

It’s a norm among different groups of Hispanics. I don’t really see it as an insult when people say “arched eyebrows”, lol, like it really doesn’t bother me especially when no one is arching shit.

Just keep in mind that the Spanish kids with the sharp eye brows, are the same ones that are distributing that work all through NYC, making that parmesan and engaging in other illegal activities. Now it may seem corny to boast about it like that but them be the cats that have all them puppets in every hood selling and talking about drugs…just saying….The same kids that your favorite rappers make references to in countless songs….rappers in the 90’s came up emulating hispanic Drug kingpsins, word to countless monikers…

In conclusion, I really don’t see it as making me less of anything, so do you and to each his own.

not at all ease not at all… i read it all.. but so far everything equates to gossip.. all of it. thats how i see it… and im not even stanning for hov like that. hell i havent purchased anything from him since bprint. what im saying is that so far there hasnt been one song named, one link to actual content that would prove to me that hov was/is biting. i dont see whats happened here any differently than what i see game doing in the hov diss. Taking “facts” that have no basis for proof. Do we know that jay shut down CB? No. but that sure as hell is what a majority believe (game sure does) And thats trash. Thats some ‘ol highschool shit. My personal opinion is to leave it alone until i have a reason to change my opinion but gossip is NEVER the way to do that.

Time + laziness = not gonna rock, chief. Even if that means you gotta pay outta pocket and cut down on the expenses (dining out, clothes, etc.) then make it happen. Don’t let a window of opportunity close simply because niggas was too lazy to mix down some material. An industry rule is that an artist should NEVER get comfy with free stu time. You never know when that luxury is gonna be cut off and then you assed out at square one. A back-up stu is a MUST.

Even if I have to download beats from soundclick i’m willing to do so, and I know ghost writer is willing to look out for a playa. His beats are lava too, no homo, but I wonder what the vibe would be like with us in the studio.

I wanted to make music bad as shit for like the past 2 months, but atleast if I pay for studio time, I know the shit will get done completly. and I got the greatest outlet known to man right now backing me (pause), Nah right. @ Billz, yeah dude i’m camped out in Mo County, nothing special abt the spot… Ma lil cuz be recording out there a lot so yeah i’m familiar wit Georgia ave.. u been to The House yet? it used to be official.

^Nah, never been there. I used to work for DJ PCutta in MPIII studio in the ass crack of College Park. Like, you had to cut across 309 residential streets to get to it. It was pretty official… WHEN niggas was doin’ their job and not interviewing hoodrats for “model” work for flyers and mixtape covers.

  299. Joe 88 Says:

What’s really fucked up is, I was starting to warm up to being in the studio more, every song I was doing I felt was a step in the right direction, I was riding the beats better, my ad-libs was getting better, my mic presence was dope, of course the wordplay & content was never lacking, and I was in my comfort zone as far as writing. I wrote “sky’s the limit” in about a hour, and niggies seem to like that shit, even R.J liked it, that kinda surprised me.

That left O&Sparks in the cold, YC and Free to ride, Beans doin’ his own thing (so it seems), and Peedi ready to throw his chain in the Hudson after he got Joe Budden’d at Def Jam. Yeezy, Blaze, and maybe Guru are the only ones who benefited.

^I genuinely don’t think people feel that way. Many are just tired of the deification and people gettin’ their undies in a bunch when somebody calls Hove out on somethin’. Nobody didn’t say he wasn’t GOAT, but if the fans can pinpoint his influences then with FACTS then I don’t see what’s the fuss about.

…. seriously who the fuck said hov was the worst rapper ever, all people were saying was something that can not be disputed, people even went as far as to say it doesn’t detract from his music or his legacy but it is what it is and it is undeniable, not one person said hov wasn’t a good rapper, they said he just swacked young chris on some shit that is all ….

^Once you get the ball rollin’ you can’t just stop and chill because then all momentum will be lost. If your homies/team don’t understand then you just have to deal with them later and just bring along the ones who do understand, but more importantly, THE ONES WHO WILL ACTUALLY WORK! Nothing peeves me more about the music industry (especially in hiphop) is to see an artist with 3045408 niggas in his crew and none of them can tell you their purpose besides “we ridin’ with my manz, yeah mean!” Nah, fuck that. All this hard work I’m puttin’ in yall niggas gonna pitch in: help find me a studio, carpool to do meetings/promotions, make some flyers, make grilled cheese sandwiches… SOMETHIN’ MUHFUCKA. And if you aint got the time to actually do physical help, then at least pitch in some $ until I can get on my feet to pay you back.

Word. Holla’rin at strippas is the biggest waste of a holla of all time. One of the GOAT holla fails. I don’t even fuck with strip clubs. I go in them shits usually due to word of mouth. All the strip clubs I named I hit up once or twice when I was younger. Other than that, I’ma be pissed if I leave that joint and don’t got no buns on speed dial.

I remember the bandanna days too, I had a yellow & black girbaud shirt, some black pelle pelle cargo shorts, low cut af1’s with the yellow sole, & a yellow bandanna tied the hulk hogan way (that’s the way all of us rocked our shit) i’m glad myspace or none of that shit was poppin then, lol.

^LOL. I also had my middle finger up my picture. SMFH. Yo, Steele… I don’t know WHAT the fuck was in that. Probably the reason why I almost had an ulcer scare. True story… and I aint told this to none of my ninjas (and the only one who know/remember was the ninja who was with us at the club that night)… but I remember being drunk as shit off some Steele and kissin’ this known stripper chick in her mouth at the Paradox. While we was sittin’ on the stage. Fuckin’. Disgustin’. What’s worse? I went to grind on her (to club music of course), I slip my hand up her skirt… I’m gettin’ to the goods and find out she aint got no panties on so I’m like yeeeeeeeah (c) Freeway… I took my hand from under there and sniffed my fingers… smelled like somebody left a cheese steak sub in a jeep with the windows rolled up in 98 degree heat. I walked away and sobered up faster than usual.

Never trust anything you can get 40oz of for under 2 dollars, lol. Malt liquor in general is wack juice period, we use to drink colt 45 double malt, i don’t even know how my liver still operates. By the way, this is a top 5 story, classic man. I did some similar shit (kissing a freak) at a house party, drunk off bacardi lime, I was like 16, and only my homeboy seen that shit, this faggot waits for the music to stop & made an announcement, told everybody i’m upstairs kissing a spinner, I swear it seemed like all the lights was on me, talk about awkward. What’s worst was, this bitch wanted me to be her boyfriend afterwards & hold out on the loving, smfh, I felt disrespected, lol.

weird how slaughterhouse claim to bring real hip hop back and what not and they doing this wanna be rockstar shiet like every other nigga in the industry lol. royce need to dip on these lames

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Exactly. As far as Royce goes…that nigga says, he is empty, nothing is inside him but rock and roll….Nah right? Word? Really?

If any of them niggaz were crazy large stars, I can buy the rockstar thing. Jay, Nas, 3k, 50, Em, Wayne..etc..

Anyway, the point is, that is some of the most commercial shit I’ve seen in awhile. There’s nothing about that song that says Real Hip Hop…unless real hip hop is called rock and roll now. I just can’t see niggaz really riding around with the windows/top down bumping this shit and managing to look cool at the same time.

Joe and Joell’s verse was iLL though…the new Jada and Styles? Nah…but still nice.

  390. S31 Says:

The lyrics are pretty weak. Buddens and Joell shoulda let Royce and Crooked ghostwrite their verses.

As for the video, Rik Cordero failed. It’s supposed to be something of a rock video, and the most high energy moments at the end of the verses: “all I got inside me is rock n roll” and “it’s the life” show amateur rappers standing there lipsynching those lines flatfooted with extras off the street rocking back and forth doing an amateur two-step. Are you seriously sending this around as if it’s a professional rap video, rock video, pop video, ANY kind of video?
