Is it better to cop a house from someone or a bank owned home. Or does it even really matter?

***Depends on the deal- you can probably get a bank owned home for cheaper, but you may face competition from real estate investors, who want to take advantage of the current conditions….”flipping houses” is going to make a comeback, in a couple of years….If you get a good deal, though, it doesn’t matter….I read in BE, that sometimes, you can do a short sale, where a distressed property is sold at a loss to the owner, who’s upside down on equity, but that this kind of transaction only gets approved by the bank 10% of the time….

NEW YORK (CNN) — Bernard Madoff has decided not to appeal the 150-year prison sentence he received for operating the biggest investment fraud in history.

Financier Bernard Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 criminal counts in the biggest investment fraud in history.
“We are not going to appeal,” Madoff attorney Ira Lee Sorkin told CNN on Thursday. Sorkin said he met with Madoff this week at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan.

“Even if the Court of Appeals sends it back, certainly a guidelines sentence under the circumstances would give him a life sentence,” he added.

    false.
ur credit will not shoot up that fast
also not all debt is bad debt.
most ppl have a misconception that debt is a negative
but u can use debt to raise your credit
it will depend on your income to debt ratio

**That’s about right…it’s all about debt to income ratio, and the amount of outstanding lines of revolving credit…if you can get your debt to say, 30% of your income, and keep your credit card balances down, you’re good to go…700 should be enough to get you into a crib, even with the tightened lending restrictions, these days…plus, you can probably take advantage of first time homebuyer tax credits ($8K this year, I think), and a lot of other benefits from that stimulus jawn (none)

^The thing that they said was that I opened up too many accounts in a short time. I opened 3 store cards within 4 months. They counted that as a negative against me. But i have never been late on any of my payments

    >>Store cards are kind of the red-headed step-child of credit…a citibank or Bank of America credit card opening would look better. Still, you might want to heed that advice and not open anything for awhile.

^You can try to get a fixed rate

***You gotta get the fixed rate, unless you plan on moving out before the ARM period is up….

^ Yea I was told that is what I need to do or dont even think about getting it.

SMH at a few weeks ago finding what I thought was a 2 level house for under 100 but it was a fuckin trailer lol

always get a fixed rate, unless you are gonna flip it or something.

mainly because you never know if things may change & you are stuck in that house because it won’t sell or something. Next thing you know you got a 10k house payment.

My bad not under 100 and 2 level. It was this
