  29. Farouq (ya thats my government) aka Nah’s Ving Rames in Baby Boy Says:

Magic Johnson was probably the most versatile player ever, was the king of triple-doubles and always was at his best in the clutch. But why is he never mentioned as being the best player of all-time? — Tom, Clearwater, FL

Before he developed his one-handed push shot late in his career, Magic was a below-average shooter. Plus, he was always a horrendous defender.

And despite his smiley-faced media persona, Magic had a gargantuan ego. For example, when Mike Dunleavy took over the Lakers in 1991, he had a face-to-face meeting with Magic on the beach during the Players Association meeting in Hawaii. When his new coach handed Magic the playbook that would theoretically be in effect during the upcoming season, Johnson tossed the book into the ocean. Then he pointed to his own head and said, “Here’s our playbook.”

Was Magic great? No doubt. Clearly the best point guard ever. But just as clearly not the greatest player ever.

Yeah I can agree cause with the changing of the music industry its harder to find and market good r&b, and with rappers aggressive marketing by any means neccessary, r&b has been on the back burner.

Been taken them since April. It ends in August then got to do another 5 weeks in A.S.A.P. After rehab and A.S.A.P., Im still not sure if I will ever drink again. I do have urges tho.

I have never ever heard an R & B mixtape in my life, I’m still tryin’ to digest the concept of them existing. I definitely fuck with R & B but it has to be from hearing a song somewhere (i.e. radio/chicks car) and then me inquiring about it.

I can’t imagine any circumstance in which I would sit down and play an R&B mixtape. I only JUST listened to 808’s & Heartbreak and that was only because my kids were in the car for a long drive and i couldn’t play no bang-bang-shoot-em-up-nigga-die-slow shit.
