  10. Kid A Says:

BET censorship was on the fritz. In all the awards this year was wack. They was on there “Grown Man Shit” that one year but this year I guess they decided to “Dumb It Down”. Jaime Foxx couldn’t even read the prompter. I’m with the Boondocks….death to BET. They bringin our people down.

  11. BROOKLYN STRONG Says:

and why did they have those little girls on stage. They lost points big time

  12. BROOKLYN STRONG Says:

Okay he got some cool rap lines and shit but he far from the complete package they all billing him to be. Did you see the drake cock sucking fest on the after party show? lol… Dude is good but not as good as they trying to bill him to be. I guess he is like the last straw for the industry and if he doesn’t do double plat first week the labels will all fold or some shit!

That shit was repulsive.Fuck being politically correct, the new school is ASS.Soulja boy and cash money fucked the show up!!!!Hov still got it though.Smh@ Jamie Foxx saying wayne and drake shit was going to be the talk of the town, that shit was dookie.

  28. Chedda Says:

Dear drake (pause), your logo fucking sucks and i’m getting tired of your parkinson’s hand shaking ass. So far gone is ill but i’m getting tired of your buzz like the pizza man.

  29. Stryfe Says:

The BET Awards 09 was not a disappointment… because I didn’t expect much. First of all, Soulja Boy had no business holding a mic on that stage. And what the fuck was up with Jamie Foxx and other presenters leaving the stage and coming back because they keep forgetting to present the second time? Jesus Christ… shit was unorganized as hell.

  30. KilluminattI7 Says:

that young money performance was in a word… uggggghhh

  31. KilluminattI7 Says:

    ^ *cringe-worthy* ^

  32. JDre Says:

I dont buy that acl bs he jumped out of his seat earlier when jamie foxx was dancing and had no ill effects, he was just shooting his video with no ill effects, ive got a torn acl and i can tell you from experiance, you can not just on demand like he did.. next exuse. bottom like is dude was not ready 4 that big stage

  33. JDre Says:

and another thing.. is it not obvious him and wayne either have the same ghost writer or they share the same body of work? their flows can be compared to when mase was writing 4 diddy it was so obvious when u hear them on the same track

  34. Good Grief Says:

Drake is Wayne’s Ghostwriter. But none a that shit matters. hip-Hop’s dead. When cats are calling you the illest/hottest/greatest right now, and you have ghostwriters? Hip-Hop’s dead.

  35. gotthatgood.com Says:

perplexed at the presence of children on that stage…….

  36. hempstead Says:

    TIGHT JEANS AND BRIGHT COLORS

  37. jaffyjoe Says:

Now if drake is an usigned act funny he was at the bet awards lol Did u feel the distance between him and babys performance plus not that it matters much but where was jae millz and nicki . It feels like drake is gettin bigger than the rest of young money so theres some ackwardness

  38. Marcus Robinson Says:

I swear to God that performance was 2 Ass Cheeks w/Peanut Butter nigga..straight booty!!! This is were Young Money jumps the SHARK!!!! Mark my words, Jae Mills get outta there FAM…naw wait, he wasn’t there..Good Look Jae Mills !!!

thats b/c drake ghosts for lil wayne.

  40. Ghost In The Shell Says:

I came to see the yung money performance for nikki minaj fat chooch/ass, that was it. That performance made Drake look like an 09 R Kelly. And notice how nobody who is a lil wayne fan is posting their fanboy shit on here

  41. mooga Says:

who was standing next to lil mama at the 0:47 mark? is he a singer? he looks familiar

  42. Grand Master Says:

lol @ drake degrassi’in’ out on stage.

  43. mooga Says:

was that Lloyd standing next to lil mama at the 0:47 mark

  44. DeepVision Says:

This is a prime example of what was wrong with the BET awards last night. There were bright spots sandwiched in between moments of excruciating awkwardness. And I just couldn’t watch when the little jailbait got up on stage around Drake. They did Jae Millz (and the other cat , whose name I can’t seem to remember) dirty on the camera work. Speaking of young moolah, I think the ghostwriting rumors (about Drake and Wayne) will not be stopped by this performance. Their flows are (eerily, strangely, obviously) similar. Listen to The Chronic 2001 track “The Watcher”, which Jay-z ghostwrote for Dr. Dre. You’ll get that “same rhyme pattern, flow-style/ different voice spitting” feeling. Listen to “Forgot About Dre” from the same album, in which Eminem features and ghostwrote Dre’s verse. ( you can hear Em all up in Dre’s flow). I can see Drake now in the studio like “naah Wayne, say it like this.” I mean seriously, you think Wayne came up with “I don’t think you’re beautiful, I think you’re beyond it”? I’m skeptical. All in all, I would have rather seen Ike Turn–oops i mean Chris Brown up there doing his best MJ impersonation, than half of the HOT GARBAGE the world was forced to witness last night.

  45. Moneyray aka I comment on nahright so fuck 50 Says:

The lil girls on stage really confused me..and they were singin along which made it even more wierd..smh

  46. mark Says:

Thank you Nah Right commenters! You have restored some of my faith in hip hop.

I’m definitely a hip hop outsider, fan of the classics–but I’m a white guy in his 30s who listens to just as much blues, jazz, rock, reggae, and whatever else as I do hip hop. This Drake shit is garbage. Just the most trite, disposable, worthless music. The lyrics have no depth, the hook is soft, no skills to move the crowd…just awful.

Because we live in an age where hype can spread so quickly–and because hip hop is so desperately in need of a new superstar, a guy like Drake can get big quick. But it’s just that: hype. Come find me two years from now, or better yet, go find Drake. Because he will be gone.

  47. Taylor Says:

I for one think it was great.
I don’t give a dern what it is,
Lil Wayne and Drake is sexyyy!!
And nothin they do can be a “trainwreck”
    xD

  48. Krissy Loves her Boyfriend #2 Says:

I Dont care how they did it.
Lil wayne and drake Are the best
Both of em are freakinn hottttt!!!
Nothin they do can get screwed up i still love em!

  49. THELUPEND Says:

“Every Girl” is the song they choose to honor MJ. It started of OK with Drake ,then it got annoying when they bliped wayne every 5 seconds. After that it just went down, What the fuck was BET thinking bringing out all of these bum ass rappers?
Gudda Gudda,Mack Maine Birdman.Worst BET performance I’ve seen so far.I’m not a Chris brown fan but he’s atleast talented.

  50. ADAM Says:

THIS WAS THE SHITTEST PERFORMANCE EVER
FUCK WAYNE AND HIS SHITTY BOYFIRENDS

  51. ADAM Says:

THIS WAS THE SHITTEST PERFORMANCE EVER

  52. $ M.B.M.$ Says:

Personally Drake aint dat bad…I question his authenticity but in all aint no body n da game spittin as lyrical as him or wayne regardless of who wrote dey sh!t.straight up tho bet award was weak…seemed like a ignorant negro get 2getha
Out of all da male rap performances soulja boy had da best….. even tho he didn’t hav 2 much competition

  53. Kayleta Says:

    =============================================

Honestly It’s not like people don’t get stage fright even if that was the case. Don’t blame him for being hesitant on stage in front of a live national television program! It’s not like when he messes up he can do the whole take again like he did on Degrassi which i have been watching for quite some time now. For someone who has been a dedicated fan for over 5 years, it’s disappointing to hear someone bad mouth a role model who “sat down during his performance because of his torn ACL” and that’s the only reason you are talking about him. I give him his props. I applaud him for getting on that stage, because if it was me…. I wouldn’t have even stepped my foot into the BET Awards. And further more… Regardless of if Lil Wayne and Drake have the same flow, they still are very different when it comes to putting words together. When it comes to Wayne he is predictable, but Drake would say other words that you wouldn’t even believe rhymed with the corresponding words. If you have ever read up on Drake or listened to one of his interviews, you’d know that when he writes he has to look things up which isn’t bad because it is using your resources. Drake even said he had to ask Lil Wayne how he comes up with great lyrics and Wayne told Drake you just do what you know. But its not bad to converse with other artists to share lines either… I’m out!
