    ^you need more B.G in your life. speaking of B.G when is that mixtape dropping? And imo C2 sounded more like a up north record, still had that down south feel, but it seems like it was aimed to go in a different direction since this was his first album w/o manny

    lol. for one BG been livin up here for 10 years now. two, there were a gang of manny fresh beats on C2. maybe he didnt get the credit for them but come on. I know a manny beat when i hear it

    @plug

    I’m tryna find this B.G mixtape that came out right after soulja slim died, B.Gizzle was going the fuck off on that shit, he put a bounty on whoever killed soulja slim head on a skit on the mixtape, he said something about he’ll get the nigga killed for a 8 ball and 10 bags of weed or something like that, whatever it was I need to find that shit

    Just because you buy the album doesn’t mean its a classic retard, thats pretty much waht you’re saying

    And yes an underground rapper can be one of the best ever, Maybe he just has poor beat selection, that doesn’t eliminate anything from his lyricism or skills. Most people that listen to rap now a days listen for the beats, something they can dance too, they could care less about the lyrics. Why do you think rappers like Flo Rida, Ace Hood etc. are huge? Be logical dude, people don’t put lyrics on the pedestal like they use too, thats why all these wack rappers get big, they get one lucky connection, get a catchy beat, and say a whole bunch of bullshit over the track, and then get club play. No lyricist like Joell Ortiz, Royce etc.. will get played in a club because thats not the kind of music they make.

    In the NO you can’t even mention soulja slim’s name without getting checked or need for approval, so I know how detroit niggas roll when you mention dilla. Like I had said that soulja slim was trash and all kinds of niggas was trying to check me. This one chick that I know was going around telling everybody to the point I was like “nah I was just playing” cause niggas was taking it to heart on some get the burner shit.

    shits crazy. Watch on how you speak on the dead. Niggas will kill for a dead nigga.

    It does not take from their technical skill, but it DOES take from their ranking IMO. the GOATs have beats & lyrics. they make the best songs, in all aspects, not just lyricism or beats. If Talib has a horrible ear for beats that takes away from his ranking.

    That’s what makes Jay so great, he has lyrics, beats, hooks & everything in his catalog.

    ^you think soulja slim is trash? I’m about to break the burner out, lol, but forreal, my niggas use to listen to this nigga ALL THE FUCKING TIME, like really, I use to be like “oh he aiight” next thing I know i’m getting kicked out the house, when I got caught up in this house raid, niggas was singing soulja slim while getting in the patty wagon, sweartagawd. I fucks with soulja slim, but he couldn’t stay on beat to save his life, but he’s far from wack

    from what I was told, i was suppose to hit no limit like pac hit death row

    R.I.P soulja slim

  12. Doug Says:

    @ Big Seth

    I can’t argue with you, but thats the problem, too many rappers depend on the beat and hook now a days, and rather than making lyrics the main focus, they rely on the other shit, they just throw tracks out there without trying to make it classic, and in most cases it is the production that makes these rappers shine.
