Video: Homeboy Sandman on VIMBY

NEW YORKHomeboy Sandman got more bars than granola promoters cause he got caught with Ebola and didn’t notice.

On this Video In My BackYard, he talks a little bit about what he does as well as stops passerbys to see if they understand some of his lines. The song he performs here actually mentions eskay on the second verse, but that footage got cut.

    ^^Thank goodness

  6. Beezy aka Rowdy Roddy Pipe Her Says:

What does his background have to do with his talent?

Beezy, your hate runs deep. Share it with me!

^Why do we care what glasses RAWSE wears? And that Fiddy got shot 9 times…etc etc.

You can’t seperate his background from the music…his life experience is going to be a large subject matter.

I just can’t relate to a kid who grew up very well off, had a stage mom get him onto a Nick Toon show, and then decided he would try his hand at rap because it seems fun.

I mean the kid is going to be a pop star…but don’t dare call him a rap artist.

  7. Farouq (ya thats my government) aka Nah’s Ving Rames in Baby Boy Says:

this is not YEROOOOOOO CANNONNNNNNNNNNN SANDMAN? Re Up Gang fame?

ok then I will never listen to him, ever in the history of listening to someone on purpose

^^Knicks luck they’ll pick the ball that requires them to lose their first round pick altogether…they shoulda never fired Highsaiah Thomas.

  11. eskay Says:

    >>But since no one answered, I guess its safe to assume that now we’re not counting albums sales..we’re now counting concert ticket stubs to show “SUCCESS”

and what if we are? what’s wrong with that?
    average concert ticket: $35

    average CD: $12

and you can’t bootlegg a concert ticket.

problem is, you got that fucking slave mentality. “record labels told us for years this is the only way for an artist to earn money or measure success, so they must be right” meanwhile, them execs is getting fat as fuck and you’re getting 1 dollar outta that 12. and now, they want you to sign a 360 deal so they can get a piece of your concert money, because they ain’t stupid, they see where the game is going.

I think the 50 hate is so high right now he could give you shit better than illmatic and ya’ll will say its garbage, the hate for him corrupts your opinion. I’m far from a 50 stan and I think this shit is pretty hard
    ==========================================
I don’t think everybody hates on 50. Mostly everyone rooted for 50 as the underdog but now he’s no longer the underdog and his music shows that. I’d rather he get in the studio instead ofputting on pimpin curly wigs or promoting Tia’s book. Get Your Ass in the Studio 50!! Them Country boys talking reckless about NY

    and for Amp:

    >>How can you give his music a fair shot if you don’t like him as an artist?

very easily. I loved GRODT, and mostly everything prior to that, so I have a history of being a fan of Curtis. plus, I’m not a little girl, so it’s not that hard for me to put aside whatever personal feelings I have about him as a person/artist and listen to the music without bias.

I didn’t like that monkey faced fuck at all when he was squaring off against Yeezy, but I still bumped the shit outta the Body Snatchers mixtape and I still do.

^^New York is soft for wanting to wait 2 years for a nigga from Canada..and a nother nigga from Ohio.

I feel like such a loser when Knicks fans say that shit all happy…then in 2 years Lebron will take less money to stay home..even further humiliating NY.

Exactly. Albums aren’t an artists number one source of income, because even if you really mess with an artist, the music is so readily available for free, alot of cats just DL it.

But a live show offers another kinda experience altogether.

^ fifty will never drop that album, he wouldnt be able to deal with wack 1st week sales, and thats the way its looking. Why’d you think he went back in the lab. He said because the material was old, Ha!. I say cause he got the advance of DTR.

  34. Farouq (ya thats my government) aka Nah’s Ving Rames in Baby Boy Says:

Now I was waiting on someone to say this. If there’s any knock against the kid, it’s this. His style is completely derivative of other more successful MC’s.

His earlier stuff isn’t as refined.

yeah, but you’re missing the point, because in the same breath I said I fucked with his mixtape. so if I think he resembles a gorilla, that’s really irrelevant and shows just how unbiased I can be.
