“When I dropped that … (I thought) ‘You guys are always going off about how much money you have. Do you realize what’s going on in this world right now?’ All these black rappers ? African rappers ? talking about how much money they have. ‘Do you realize what’s going on in Africa right now?'” Roth says.

Oh no….no no no no no

    *runs for cover*

  5. eskay Says:

    >>but how does that mixtape get there in the 1st place(best buy)?

it gets there because the DJ goes through a distributor who places CDs in record stores.

  6. AmpGeez a.k.a. Pimpin Don't Fail Me Now Says:

But any employee with a positve IQ can see that those are bootleg mixtapes that have barcodes on em. How does a distributor sign off on a CD that’s most likely gonna get pulled if the artist’s label discovers it’s on store shelves?

    Wayne isn’t @ fault here.

  7. CheezyDoDo Says:

    word to shot clock

wayne flows on aint got nothin >>>>>>>
even tho Fab and Juelz kinda got him with the punchlines

fuck what ya heard carter 3 wasnt as bad as the normal hip hop fan wants to say it was.Now could it have been better with all the tracks that leaked before it like pray to the lord, lighten up my la la and imma a beast.Of course but saying that it was still a entertaining good album to me.

  8. The Shot Clock aka servin through my burglar bars Says:

could this spell the end for the new school’s great white hope?

the distributors probably don’t care. the artist/DJ has to pay them to place the CD, so that’s probably their bottom line.

  11. eskay Says:

    >>how will eskay handle this new Ash comment blunder?

I agree %100 with what Asher said. what, he’s wrong to say it because he’s white? nah fuck that.

–But something has to come off the distributors pocket

  13. Farouq (ya thats my government) aka Nah’s Ving Rames in Baby Boy Says:

eskay is this what Weezy was saying when Drama had the Gangsta Grillz series? I saw Gansta Grillz tapes at the swapmeet two for ten dolla(c)Asain man

Word to Dedication’s 1,2 & 3 being right behind the Gangster Grillz:The Album CD’s in the Hip-Hop section.

Those distributors need to be held accountable but the artist always gets sued cause they have all the money.

  15. barak's ex preacher was right white people Says:

when the game made 50 million mixtapes getting at 50 and the unit i was in best buy getting some blank cds and these fools had every single one of his mixtapes. I was wondering about that shit then like how the fuck does this happen…bootleg printed off cover and all

  16. eskay Says:

    >>eskay is this what Weezy was saying when Drama had the Gangsta Grillz series?

    yeah, i think so.

  17. AmpGeez a.k.a. Pimpin Don't Fail Me Now Says:

who is he to talk about the motherland?….so its cool to let some random white boy get up on his soapbox and lecture “black rappers” about their spending habits?….

when cosby did it it was all good, but like YN’s broad said “you ain’t here yet, get here”

see now, this to me, is more offensive than nappy headed hoes. call me crazy

  19. eskay Says:

I should add that I heard the backstory of that Asher quote to the AP, so I may have a different perspective. I can understand how somebody might read that and take it the wrong way.

  20. eskay Says:

    >>who is he to talk about the motherland?

white people can’t talk about Africa? get a grip. but again, I can see how somebody might read that and be offended.

  21. Farouq (ya thats my government) aka Nah’s Ving Rames in Baby Boy Says:

  22. The Shot Clock aka servin through my burglar bars Says:

and then whats the implication? that “white rappers” know how to conduct themselves?

or because people in Africa are suffering successful rap artists should humble themselves for the good of the diaspora…

i dont see white boys humblin themselves cos white folk in Serbia or wherever are hungry?

    nah fuck THAT

  23. Farouq (ya thats my government) aka Nah’s Ving Rames in Baby Boy Says:

    somebody link that Asser shit

  24. AmpGeez a.k.a. Pimpin Don't Fail Me Now Says:

But why does dude feel he can comment on a culture that he’s really on the fringe of?

    You’re a rapper, not a sociology expert.

  25. eskay Says:

    >>Dude needs to do his little raps & save the commentary for those who know what the fuck they’re talking about.

    I know…but he’s on the fringe. Like I said.

And he may have a point, but I don’t wanna hear that shit coming from him. He has the least right to address that issue.
Dude is way too loose. Somebody needs to tighten him up a lil’ bit.

  30. Jersey*made*me Says:

Part of me wants to call eskay an Uncle Tom,white apologist, blank blank motherblanker, but the truth is the truth. We can’t expect to have an open discussion about race if white people have to be censored.Would we rather have this guy be candid and frank,or have him dapping niggas and calling them niggers behind their backs and snaking them?
