when Curtis dropped How To Rob, I was like, this is cool, but this mungkey is playing himself with this publicity stunt ass song. not to mention, who the fuck is this guy to be going at all these GOATs? that was the only reason some niggas in NY didn’t fuck with Curtis at first and that’s legitimate if you ask me.

^^Curtis didnt get love for Power of Dollar till it was about a year old and the GRODT was about to drop..his rise was meteoric and quick(naw)..he blew up in like 2 months.. it was within that 2 month period that NY started to accept him…before that he got shitted on constantly…even MAD RAPPER started to feel the heat of fuckin wid Curtis.

… seriously this whole argument is moot, no one was fucking with 50 until he started going at Ja for singing all the damn time, NY was so sick of ja and that singing shit that NY would of been behind anyone to go after Ja, as soon as NY realized 50 ran him off just so he could steal his style and start singing on every track he started to lose NY ….

    >>You gotta understand the urban climate and music. From mississippi, to New orleans to memphis to Detroit to harlem to Atlanta…Music and wealth follow hand in hand, this is how the state of urban music has traveled. When harlem was popping and the black capital of the world, so was the music and the economic success, and the residuals led off to New York at the forefront of the music with a good amount of black wealth and black poverty, which subsequently comes with it.

don’t take that fucking preachy tone with me. the music industry is based in NY, it ain’t going nowhere. we’re not one of those bamma cities you named where there’s no money unless the entertainment industry brings it.

    ^^^

LOL at this dude, no one is being preachy, I’m just telling you the synchronization of black wealth and music and how they are intertwined. Of course the Music industry is based in NY cause Just about everything that is financial is based in NY. Mecca of money, sports, entertainment etc…Ny is where you go when you are Big time.

I’m specifically talking about urban music and the black movement which hip-hop evovled from. and Yes Hip-hop has Left NY as far as a great movement is concerned, just like it left motown, New Orleans and others. But you keep throwing out NY this and that and not taking it into the context of hip-hop.

^False, I had my copy since late 2000, ninjas in other ciies had to have it if I had a copy of it & i’m in baltimore, I even have a 50 cent maxi single with thug luv on there, hosted by big tigger, his shit was suppose to drop but it never did in stores, but ninjas had it on the streets

^^Don’t tell these niggas nothin Joe..SMH @ Power of Dollar never dropped..

  14. Lanna Jouja Says:

50 had the streets on smash for like 1 or 2 years, after that he had the world on lock, and New York fell off on him with bullshit music, but white dudes and girls were still on his nuts.

Now the only wave that is riding him is the international cats like Czech repbulic, Bosnia, and Bejiing

but I couldn’t do it I got bored mad easy

^How can you get bored listening to max, but not get bored listening to a ninja that raps for 20 minutes straight?

… because the dude rapping for 20 minutes straight is making me constantly hitting the rewind button and trying to catch everything he is saying, meanwhile max b. just mumbles and has the mindset of a middle schooler ….

It’s not like you have to be fresh, these niggas look dirty, you can look clean & have a wal-mart outfit on, but you can dress these ninjas is prada/louie/iceberg/ whatever & they would still look like dust bunnies

  49. TheCo!!inB Says:

all jokes aside Joe. No artist that signs to a label makes money off selling albums, not good money. You may walk away with 50k-75k but there is no paper in selling albums……labels get it. Artist make money doing shows. Show money will always be better than album money, that’s gospel.

    True,

You can tell a broke nigga or bitch, by the fabrics of their clothing from a nigga with money and dress sloppy. Niggas who are broke got dusty faces and skin is fucked and clothes are dirty…Bummy dress niggas just got bummy clothes but the fabrics be a little neater and cleaner and not so washed out.

But they from the hood, so you can’t expect much.
