    Watchmen >

Not a lot of people got that movie, but i actually have the patience to sit through a 3hr movie, plus that soundtrack was incredible.

Watchmen seemed like a spinoff of the more famous heroes.

Clear to me that Dr manhanttan was a spinoff of superman (figuratively of course)

**Watchmen graphic novel>>>>Watchmen flick…even though the flick is a pretty faithful interpretation of its source material…I just enjoyed the book more….

Dark Knight returns is Frank Miller.

    ^^

Aaronofsky said he wanted to make a movie of that awhile ago and film it in Tokyo which would have been dope…

I was into comics as a kid & stopped reading them around 95 maybe. I dunno. I’ve missed a lot of good graphic novels. I should read them now.

My homeboy is like a comic-nerd & he has all them shits.

  26. icon (trillbert arenas) Says:

Adrian Veidt in “Watchmen” was as threatening as Edward Norton (one of my favorite actors, BTW) in “the Italian Job”….co-sign that his villainy was obvious in the movie- really not as clear cut in the book, though…Rorschach was dope in the movie, and the book, though…he needs a prequel

My advice – download comic book reader. Then just torrent any title you can think of. I’m catching up on the issues of 100 Bullets that I missed and the old skool Luke Cage books at the moment.

–Yea, compare and contrast with cam at his lyrical peak, thats nice.

Im not gonna say they’re the same but shit isnt apples and oranges.

Also, i like how you’re dismissing french’s bars.

Yeah. Rorschach was a cool ass character & the way his mask moved was dope.

I told you I know Jackie Earl Haley’s wife. I almost told her to tell her husband good work after I saw the movie.

***I know…for some reason I typed the wrong info—I had Dark Knight Returns in its original run-that’s actually the series that got me into comics, for the year or two I was obsessed, lol…

speaking of Aaronofsky- Mickey Rorke really KILLED IT in the Wrestler…I will never see “Milk”, for the same reason I never saw “Brokeback” (adult language, hairy ass nudity, extreme faggotry), but I’m pretty sure Mickey got robbed….

negro please. I’ll be the first to tell you French has gotten better, but come on man, you can’t compare him to Cam. French is a standard NY mixtape rapper. not that there’s anything wrong with that, but he’s no Cam and I doubt he ever will be.

I can’t mess with an unauthorised biography of Rorschach (no streets disciple disc 2). The movie left big holes in his background e.g. why he used the material for the mask and all that. That would have explained everything about him pretty much…

I had mentioned it before on here & someone knew he was playin Rorschach. Mind you I had no idea who that was because I never read the book.

the only thing is that he looked like a little Danny Bonaduce in Watchmen. He killed the acting though IMO. He played a pedophile in the other movie when he got nominated.

legend??..by what standard cuz he was in a group that never dropped a album and he used spit bars in cipher with one of the greastest lyricist and a Reverend….don’t you have to have at least a classic album to be considered a Legend
