Video: Young Jeezy – Don’t Do It

Jeezy makes up for the Circulate video with this one.

Directed by Gabriel Hart. The Recession in stores now.

The next two Jeezy videos, “Get Allot Remix” and “Don’t You Know”, were also shot by Gabriel Hart last Thursday, so those visuals should be straight too.

that same exact samples “baby dont do it”…”no,no,no” was on freeway last album the callabo with Scarface…

is this cool in producers circles using the same exact samples on a diffrent beat for another artist only a year a apart from each other?

to me it seems like dude is a lazy producer

  2. Seth Gueko Says:

    (maybe jeezy wanted this sample)
jeezy wanted also a video for each song. dat would be cool.

Or…….Or… Jeezy had Free @ Last on heavy rotation & thought that was the nicest sampled song in a min. & decided 2 bite the shit out of it for his album.

Pretty much the same shit in 2003 when Jeezy 1st heard Philadelphia Freeway & became really fond of Free’s adlibs…. you know the drawn out “Yeeaaaaahs” & the abrupt “Cheahs”

    >> Fast Foward back to 2009 u might notice in the above video that scruffy shit I guess he calls a 5 o’clock shadow. Then we have the errr-lee stages of what is now known as the Freeway beard.

^^ dunno who produced the songs but it happens quite often that two different producers did the beats without hearing the other one … if you already sold the beat and next week u hear something similar what u gon do about it? U got your check now move on…

  23. Joe 88 Says:

State property & R.O.C is the label – Freeway

Fun Fact: That freeway & scarface song “baby don’t do it” is like 5 years old, it was on this bootleg “free at last” I brought in the beginning of 06′. He mention Dame & Hoffa on the track & the R.O.C split by then. That CD was kinda alright, he had scott scortch, manny fresh production on there, had Juve on there, another song with him & scarface on there & a mean freestyle over the saigon “come again” beat, shit was hot, now I just gotta find the shit

    What up!

^^^ no, you have ethics and you re-freak the beat or choose a different vocal sample so your beat sounds nothing at all like the one that actually came out. going your way, eventually hip-hop would be like reggae where certain riddims (beats) were used over and over. there would only be like 20 beats shared by every rapper out. the a milli beat would be on 50 albums last year. LOL.

  27. spirit equality Says:

this video was dope, but between dude having cannon’s beat essentially re-do dilla’s “circulate” spacek rmx and this beat basically re-do freeway’s “won’t do it” with scarface (a better song than this, btw), i’m giving dude the side-eye. then again, ghostface actually took a beat on inspectah deck’s album, named the song “deck’s beat” and called it a day. LOL. i guess i can’t be mad if the end result is dope, right? i do like the freeway/scarface song more though. dude should put scarface and freeway on the remix to this one.

  28. spirit equality Says:

nhjic for those who don’t know what “give the side eye” means. LOL.

^^^ prison is the new source of labor…or as rage against the machine once said:

Ain’t it funny how the factory doors close
Round the time that the school doors close
Round the time that the doors of the jail cells

and yet president obama, giggles his way through a response about whether the decriminalization and taxing of the sale of marijuana would be a new source of revenue to help us deal with our current massive budget deficit…

this from a guy (obama) who used to smoke weed AND snort coke, according to his own autobiography…wtf is wrong with him? at least he could have seriously addressed the question…

  31. The Gooch Says:

And the Freeway ft. Scarface joint is waaaaay better than this! But I guess because he’s not considered to be a major artist, whats left of the hip- hop “community” won’t be in an uproar!

What’s up with the Nas, Jay Z and Tupac album cover posters? No Biggie?! Why is Pac there?

  33. Seth Gueko Says:
