It wasn’t a complete diss, but he did say ya’lls names.

I was thinkin? did he just pick random names or did these guys really shit on him. He was askin about Nah niggas & I’m yellin & reppin LOL. Then he asks if ya’ll were there… its quiet. cuz you weren’t. Then he says something like “are any other Nahright commentors here that shit on me” I stay quiet cuz I like his music & I don’t really diss him. I’m standing next to YN yellin “not everyone disses you”. He says something else that I forgot. Then defends his fedora & Kills his set.

after the performance I tell him “not everyone on Nah hates him.” He laughs, we dap, he leaves.

He mentions it in his blog here.

^ And someone heard Big Homie? If so then, CH probably got me mixed up with someone else..too funny. Cause I fuck with Charles Hamilton’s music. Ty, Land and a few others can cosign.

  6. Big_seth Says:

To CH’s defense I don’t remember everything he said or exactly what was said. I KNOW someone has video of it somewhere. 13 niggas had cameras. eskay probably wasn’t payin attention though. he wasn’t payin attention to the whole performance.

He was cool about it afterward. He wasn’t tryin to fight or nothin. I just thought it was funny that he remembered some peoples names.

I post shit I personally fuck with on some level, bt I also respond to what I see happening in the industry. what fucking good would it do me to post a bunch of shit people don’t like? just because the majority of commenters on Nah don’t fuck with Mickey Factz doesn’t mean nobody does. I’ve had people come up to me and personally thank me for putting me onto him and countless other rappers that get aired out on here on the regular. so it’s whatever. the world is bigger than your fucking laptop screen and this comment box.

^^You speaking thru your emotions now..if you think hip hop music is in a “healthy space” then we’ll just agree to disagree. If you think the music as an industry sucks right now then we can continue this discussion.

This nigga just had to fly to Austin Texas to see a good show and you think the music itself is in a “healthy” place? If you do then I’ll be wrong this time….adn you from NY.

The industry ( marketing, shows, concerts,) etc is dead..the music as an artform( lyrics, production etc) is laying on its deathbed.

it’s called progession. you don’t have to like it, but it ain’t going nowhere so you better learn to live with it. if you don’t like what Kanye or Wayne of Cudi or Hamilton are doing then don’t listen, simple as that. there are still countless rappers doing hardcore street shit, there are still rappers spitting 800 bars in one song. there are still battle rappers, there are still conscious rappers, etc.

No, the music industry as we KNEW it is dead. Sure, there’s less 1 million dollar videos and no one goes diamond anymore. But in its place a new music industry one is forming, where independent artists thrive, social networking sites and blogs are the new magazines, and the pastime of copping an album and peeping the liner notes and chopping it up on the corner of St.Andrews and One way has turned into cats like us chopping it up on Nah.

Which is to say, the only people losing are the labels.

    FACTS

The latest recording industry statistics show digital music sales are rapidly increasing as a percentage of total industry sales, but not by enough to offset a dramatic fall in compact disc sales.

In 2007, digital music sales accounted for just under one quarter of total recording industry revenue, up from 9 percent in 2005, according to recently released data from the Recording Industry Association of America, the industry’s trade group.

But total industry revenue, including both physical and digital sales, fell 11.8 percent, to $10.4 billion, in 2007 from a year earlier. Since the industry peaked in 1999, more than $4 billion in revenue — almost 29 percent — has vanished.

“The fact that digital sales have a greater percentage of the pie does not make up for the fact that the pie is shrinking,” said Bob Lefsetz, an industry analyst who writes the widely read Lefsetz Letter. “Digital sales are not an adequate replacement for lost physical sales.”

Wrong as hell.. I just got back from sxsw and it proved just the opposite:
    A. More music is being consumed than ever. Whether it be online or thruough the purist medium (live shows) music consumption and enjoyment reaches more places than ever. Look at a music company like LastFm. A small startup that amassed so much data on music preferences it got valued an copped by a big company for 280million by CBS.
    B. There are plenty of good hiphop acts out there making bangers but people are too stupid to pay attention and rather spend their time complainin: Blue Scholars, Common Market, Blu, Zion I, Exile, Styles P, Jean Grae, Thelophilis, and half them niggaz I didnt even kno about.
