How is that an excuse? “Well, Big died, so he never had a chance…”

    GTFO

    Jay > BIG

Line up their albums and tell me Jay isn’t better, I’ll wait.

    it ain’t an excuse.

Jay > Big is a sweeping statement that deserves to be qualified…I’m not taking anything away from Jay but the stars aligned for that nigga to take the crown and become the mega star he is today

  14. kevfresco Says:

Read to die > Reasonable—not at all

    Life after > Blueprint—–co-sign

    Read to die > Reasonable

    ^
    fuck outta here.

ready to die is a very good album, but sorry reasonable doubt is much better.

i do agree with life after death>blueprint though

so what song on reasonable was the bump in the road?

lol you asked someone to dispute it.

i still think big l and pun are still extremely overlooked these days.most of the people my age or younger have never heard of them smh.

  25. OWWW Says:

CAPONE NEEDS AN ALBUM WITH BIG PRODUCERS ON IT
    HES UNDERRATED FO REAL
    2010
NORE NEEDS A NEW ALBUM WITH THE NEPTUNES AS PRODUCERS AND EXECUTIV PRODUCERS TOO
    ————————————–
    2009
    CnN CHANNEL TEN
    coming soon

  26. anons Says:

the reason ready to die > reasonable doubt is that Biggie pioneered a flow and a sound on that album

Reasonable Doubt may have better production, and Jay was a master of the art form, but he hadn’t really found his voice yet.

  27. kevfresco Says:

    @ tribe

you think cashmere thoughts was weak? say it aint so.

  28. Danielson Says:

neptunes production isnt what it once was, i havent heard an ‘excuse me miss’. a ‘lapdance’, a ‘frontin’ or a ‘lets get blown’ from them in a minute.

  29. kevfresco Says:

Jay was a master of the art form, but he hadn’t really found his voice yet.

    ^^^

cashmere thoughts was the birth of hovs iceberg slim. so as it correlates to ready to die, a lot of my niggas would fast forward ‘unbelieveable’.

  30. OWWW Says:

Biggie was better than Jay, back in their dayz
    but BIGGIE+LifeADeath > JAY+ReasonableD
if u check only the albums.. without names
Reasonable Doubt > Life After Death

    but nevertheless
    Illmatic >>

  31. Danielson Says:

hmm i would of said ready to die had better production.

but i do prefer the beats on reasnoable doubt

^ I think they have more in them it’s a matter of time, they just need to stop making their wack sauce music for a while and focus on production

  33. Danielson Says:

honestly, i have never seen why illmatic is considered so great, its a good album but i preferred reasonable doubt and ready to die.

never been a big nas fan anyway, thats probably why.
