Who’s hyping it except Complex magazine – and who even reads that shit?

Rap blogs (read: Nah Right) have rendered rap print media utterly obsolete.

Oh and aside from the occasional funny shit, Complex’s website sucks too.

  9. Cream of Sumyung-gai Says:

who’s blacker – mtf or that white dude in the pic who stays in every black film.

i still give the edge to mtf because he’s a fellow nahgger but i’m just saying – that other white dude gets it in with black folk.

  10. eskay Says:

how is Complex hyping Prey IV Reign? you talk alotta shit chea.

  11. the real truth Says:

Prey IV Reign is only bein hyped by Dame Dash…Where yall gettin Conplex magazine in the equation?

I think chea’s talking about that Complex cover a couple months back…I was appalled when that shit came in the mail [ll]. Marc Ecko does seem to have some sort of bromatic feelings towards Jimmy though.

btw any news on Kanye’s album this year? he said he was going back to the rapping ish for a release this summer, i presume it’ll be called Good Ass Job and be back on track for the university theme.

  19. eskay Says:

not everybody hates Jim Jones as much as you guys would have everybody believe. magazines put artists on the cover because they think they’ll help them sell issues. if you think putting an artist on the cover = hyping that artist, then you lost.

    no shots.

Jones sells mags. Regardless of the quality of his music, he’s always been the most charismatic of all the Dips & cats respect his hustle. Everyone hates “swag” now, but Jones rode that wave to the A List. Harlem niggas’ll always find a way to turn nothin’ to somethin. Who else you know blew on Koch?

    ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

WORD! well put. i’m waiting on cam’s strategy.

  25. J. Caesar Says:

true indeed on jim’s hustle but most of the music from prey IV reign has been weak, even that na na na song lol

  26. Coogi Down Says:

Jim’s solo albums have never exactly been top-shelf releases, I don’t know what made a major label think it was a good idea, unless they felt like he could create another “Ballin” song every time out……IMHO, Max B had something to do with that hook, and was helping Jones more than heads realize, Jones can’t write hooks to save his life (as evidenced with “Na Nana Na”)
