Video: Naledge x Mic Terror – Drop Freestyle

By now you’ve seen some video and pictures from Mikkey Halsted’s Internet On Lock party.  The party featured music and appearances by Chicago artists ranging from No ID to Nick N’ Beans.  What you have not seen, and will not see anywhere else, is what happened after everybody left and a few select artists, producers, DJs, and the RH cameras hit the SoundScape bunker for an after hours session.  The session included boasting, bragging, beat playing, arguing, as well as this dope freestyle with Mic Terror and Naledge who both go in over Rich Boy’s “Drop”.  Check out the exclusive footage below, and get ready for more to come…p.s Keep watching after the credits for bonus footage…I see you Kid Brainiac…

Yeah, thats been around from b4 Showtime tho

It actually comes from Yard Sound engineers cutting (mixing) reggae riddims with the crossfader while someone is spitting over it…so you would just hear the bass kicks…

You probably heard/seen this being done before in an actual dance (or maybe not)…Showtime was made to kinda imitate that sound

isnt bk we go hard his most recent song though?? smh at people hatin at nothing and b4 that it was american gangsta and i know u are not saying that album didnt go hard, he ignored makin a commercial song on that album and gave u the intro of a hustle the mid point and the fall of the hustle with one theme the whole album with 8 different stories on that album, but that didnt go hard either

  30. Gravity Says:

@ Rigz , my conclusion is based on thier lyrical superiority and the fact dat its easy to understand wen they chant , all da otha cats u mention i can hardly undastand … patwa too authentic , ya’mean .

  33. RIGZ Says:

    @ Gravity, I hear you

Mavado’s a singer & Damien has admitted to watering down his accent a notch to be more universal

But LYRICALLY, the illest are (IMO): Vybz, Aidonia, Busy Signal & Damien. Those 4 are untouchable right now

  34. Gravity Says:

will youtube Vybz, Aidonia, Busy Signal 2nite, gotta listen harder [ll]

i’m almost sure… like 99.9% sure… thats why i said “BUT i like BK We Go Hard though”

but like i said last post, AG was terrible as a “concept album”. putting a few lines in as reference to the movie is a half-assed effort at creating a narrative. the songs themselves followed a progression, but there was no “story” that you speak of. if you want story and concept, check out that City Of God’s Son… thats a thought out effort merging cinema and music which i’m sure is what he was aiming for and failed at misserably.

now the songs themselves on AG, as a collection, were cool. not bad, not his best either. thats just how i feel about it.

@ JDS …if any otha rapper made AG , i swear niccas wld be quik to name whooeva as the new goat , its crazy how mofos call dat an okay album…. I doubt any rapper’s album besides Lupe can match AG lyrically since it dropped . Wit for Wit , style for style , depth for depth[ll] .. c wher i’m goin wit it ? [ll]
