Speaking of racism, they had this thing on Dateline or whatever, “What Would You Do”, where they put people in awkward situations, to see if they’ll stand up for somebody else from another group, when that person is persecuted or wrongly treated for their race/nationality, etc…SMH @ this one experiment, where a coffee barista (an actor) told some Mexican day workers, “I don’t serve your kind”, and this black customer, who wasn’t an actor, jumped on the bandwagon, like “you need to get out of here, before I call the police—yo, stop lookin’ at my money”

Dipset sans Cam. Lol. Jim Jones is a bum but I fuck with him cause he funny as shit. Juelz is underrated. From me to u was crack. What the game been missing was trash. What does freaky actually do???

  11. b-ease Says:

This cover is depressing on like 14 different levels.

    1. Freeky Zeeky on the cover of XXL? I dont care if its with Jim and Juelz, it should have never happened.

    2. The obvious. No Cam.

    3. The fact that mainstream hiphop is so dry that XXL’s only choice was this or another Wayne cover.

I’m sure I could come with 11 more, but you get my drift.

  12. Martin Margiela Mane Says:

marc ecko hearts jim jones something disgusting. dude said jim is the most relevant artist in NY. is u stoopid? smh @ these crackaz trying to influence this art, if u do it right then welcome, if u pimping backwards then get the fuck out

  13. Big Homie Says:

I didn’t mean all the time..I meant…I have it said to me before and it really doesn’t bother me. I guess it was always in joking manner. I’ve never had it said to me in a disrespectful way, but I am sure now someone will…on here lol.

In all fairness, Questlove basically said the same thing.

    isn’t paki shorty for Pakistani???

    ^^

    What it is is this

The NF (National Front) & BNP (British National Party) who used to (and still do) butcher & kill immigrants on the regular, invented the term “paki”

It was usually used after the words “dirty, stinking, ect.” while dudes were getting linched and threatened to go back to their country & carved up

The fucked up thing is, anyone thats Asian/Muslim gets (&got) called a “Paki” by racists…Could be from India, could be from Bangladesh…makes no difference…And theres ALOT of Asians over here, who have their own cultural beefs/differences with each other. The different countries are worlds apart

I cant think of an US equivalent, and its kinda hard to explain if you havent lived out here

You have to bare in mind everyone that isnt white over here is an immigrant. Skip a generation (or maybe two) & none of our families were here…

  17. Big Homie Says:

    Cam’ron > these guys

    easily

  18. Martin Margiela Mane Says:

Questlove basically said the same thing.

good then quest lost his way too and he’s just loving the attention. there’s tons of hungry cats that need one little co-sig here or there and instead these old heads is co-signing each other to perpetuate a mainstream suffering from a miserable lack of talent. hey that’s NY’s problem, in the chi we stay cranking out new talent

  19. Digital Scales Says:

  24. PHOENIXXX Says:

they should have Bone Thugs on the cover within the next few months since all5 of them back together about to drop a new album. aside from one member being locked up almost 10 years their the only group (minus LOX) i can think of in hip hop that’s managed to stay tight over for a long ass time

  25. Digital Scales Says:

Yea, I’ve been feeling shorty since she first dropped. Chocolate perfection. She said her favorite part of her body is her chest. They do look pretty spectacular.

  28. benhameen Says:

Marc Ecko has been down with hip hop way longer than you may have been Martin. Not dissing just saying dude has beeeeeen putting in work. I was selling his shirts in high school so I think he has been in the game for a good minute.
And Jim probably is one of the more relevant artists out of NY. Its just the level of NY’s talent right now that is the shame. I mean on a large scale, shouts to Gunz and Mickey Factz, random other cats.

there’s but so much any man can take. Weezy apparently took the silent route when 50 initially baited him, but as we later found out, he recorded a diss song and later punked out- perhaps cause he knew it didn’t contain enough ether. I’m hoping Ye finally responds and gives us hip-hop’s next great battle- the hipster-ish Louis Vutton backpacker Vs. the super thug. It could potentially shift hip-hop’s direction once again. Should Yeezy prevail, it’d put another nail in gangsta rap’s coffin. But if Fif Ja Ruled him, it could be the premature end of tight jeans.

That doesnt exist in hiphop anymore. Word to Wayne kissing his label’s CEO, and Ross being a CO. It didnt matter.

I’m just waiting till a nigga admits to being a pure fruitcake and then goes platinum. That would be the day hip hop ends.

so maybe he’d have the guts to get at 50 for all the shit he talks.

    ^

yeezy already got back at 50 in the worst way possible – he took the top spot

for a dude who spent a good chunk of his childhood being raised in the chi suburbs by a mother who is the chair of the english department of a college, u probably don’t want it with a dude like fif. and believe me fif has gone way soft since moving to connecticut and surrounding himself with bodyguards but still, it’s not like yeezy has leverage to go at him in a hood/street/beef situation

    ^^^^

believe it nor not, Kanye does have the leverage to go at 50 on a street level. I be in the streets and apparently Kanye is still cool to niggas. I see thugs singing Lockdown Lover all the time no homo

Kanye still acts like he has something to prove to people, so I can see him battling 50 if he keeps it up

Yea Kanye does have fag ways and homo tendencies. But that’s about 95 percent of the population right now. Niggaz need to bring the 90’s back SMH. NYC has been soft for as long as i can remember(with the obvious exception of bville, eny, areas in the BX)

Why does XXL insist on staying so industry? I liked the rising star cover, it was a tad more gutsy than their usual fare. If you’re gonna put some Harlem hacks on the cover then u might as well take a chance on some up and comers. There is no short supply of new dudes coming out of the woodwork as nahrighters well know. Grow some balls XXL.

Juelz is nice, but Scruff McGruff and the anonymous fellow filling out the right of the pic are whack as shit. Im just sayin

Jimmy Jones is ok but not hot like that.

Damn is hip-hop really that weak these days that they can’t find a worthy mc for their mag?

I quit rap I’m going to def metal or punk rock… or I’m jetting back to 80’s rock!
