anybody think 808s is gonna have the biggest debut of 08? he damn sure deserves that nigga is Elvis.. remember that haters
*wonders what Elvis haters had 2 say on the tuesdays he dropped*
*remembers 808s dropped on a mon*
*waits for 50 hate on mtv news*
“yeah ya know with the content of the album not being so aggressive.. & not focusing on the harsh realities of the hood.. ya see the general public is not the hood.. so in a sense.. fuck it! the nigga had 8 days to do those #s.. that’s an extra day”
*drops the mic & walks off*
…. you can’t be serious I didn’t even think Rey could defend this atrocity of an album, this shit is disgusting, he wasted a shit load of great beats with some o my heart hurts autotune champion singing garbage, the reason why 50 fell off is because he sang too much, I realize Kanye plays to a different crowd but god damn this shit was terriawful, and I’m not saying he needed any aggressive content his old albums were just fine without it but this shit right here, this shit right here …. how you say ? … basura

ty my nigga.. have u ever been in a serious relationship with a bitch? we wouldn’t be havin this conversation if so.. no disrespect but damn that whole shit is real.. with the exception of the weezy feat. that there was jus garbage
this dude freeway found a way to twist reparations to a song about killing people.
i guess somebody will say he is sending some type of indirect shots at the system and that’s who he’s aiming his shots at, but his whole discography makes it impossible for him to make an indirect political song because everybody’s gonna assume he’s talking some criminal shit. LOL.
he rapping his ass off though.
as for that grand hustle story allhiphop ran, the video footage at the end of the story totally contradicted the account allhiphop gave of the second incident
allhiphop claimed: the altercation happened after tip sent subliminals by changing his ain’t i verse
the video showed: an altercation starting essentially as soon as tip started rapping, with the crowd moving backwards
allhiphop claimed: someone jumped off stage after the song ended to hit lo’s brother
the video showed: the crowd had come back to the front after the confrontation had died down and no one was getting hit
allhiphop claimed: the show was cancelled after the altercation and the crowd was evacuated by police
the video showed: the grand hustle camp still rapping after the crowd initially dispersed, even as a woman in the crowd used bottled water presumptively to wash pepper spray out of her male companion’s eye (just my presumption because why else would she pour water in someone’s eye who was rubbing their eyes?). the crowd eventually returned to the front of the stage when it was clear that the grand hustle camp was still on stage
that was shoddy journalism at its finest. how are you going to report on reputed statements refuted by video evidence in your possession. SMH. hip-hop “journalism” STAYS losing.

that album isn’t all trash, you can’t tell me you not feelin “amazing” or “heartless”
…. I said there were 2 or 3 tolerable songs ” heartless ” is almost except for the autotune and his verses but the beat is crazy and the hook is fine if someone jumped on that track and just blacked out the song would be crack times infinity, ” amazing ” doesn’t impress me that much again the beat is sick but I can’t tolerate the singing vocoder nonsense, and I think ” welcome to heartbreak ” is my favorite track but other than that sorry can’t fuck with it, matter of fact someone get me the instrumental to this album and I’ll rap over all the tracks and it will be better than this shit …
the hiphopdx account isn’t much better. too many anonymous sources. this ain’t no fucking national security story. if you can’t put your name to a comment about something as lame as a fight at an award show, your comment isn’t worth printing.

i mean think back to the last really dope piece you may have read in the past year (a la that post in lite a lil while back)
I can think of classic pieces like when Blaze mag existed and they had a story on Meth that was high concept or the first nas XXL cover or shit like that… but as the industry suffers from neo=nepotism aka my mans n dem know how to jot down Q’s so imma get him a gig. it loses credibility. besides most artists can just start a blog or whatever and get the word out about shit. all that coupled with the indy mag flourish in the early 2000’s and viola..
