so you keep telling me to listen to the whole album like I’ll be dissappointed or something…
    ^^
No, I keep telling you to listen because I’ve always been of the opinion that the only way to accurately critique an album is to listen to it straight thru from beginning to end. I don’t care if you’re disappointed or love it. I just don’t think your’re in the best position to make broad statements about it.

just cause you personally don’t like doesn’t mean it aint hot.

^^Are you reading or just skimming thru it? I said I liked it. I just said its not the second coming that some Ye stans are professing it to be (and I sense they’re only doing that as a defense to some of the less well thought out backlash).

To the person who can identify the most sneakers in my closet (must identify different colorways too), I got a pair of free tickets to Wale’s show at Highline Ballroom on December 9th with UCB, Kid Cudi, Colin Munroe, Che Grand, Mark Ronson and Nick Catchdubs. Submit answers via email to RSVP@elitaste.com. Winner will be announced as soon as someone answers correctly. If nobody gets all of them, I will award the tickets to the high score. I suggest looking at every picture very carefully.

Lack of introspective lyrics (compared with the first two), no skits (which provided the stucture of the first albums), and no guest appearances (the other two albus were filled to the brim with them). Those are pretty big differences.

graduation is WAAAAAY different from the 1st two albums in terms of structure, content AND sound.

    production wise:
college dropout – basic hip hop sampling with studio musicians

late registration – basic hip hop sampling with a more cinematic/score element attached (jon brion).

graduation – a more “big stadium” synth sounds with outside producers doing alot of the BIG work. (toomp, eric hudson, nottz)

808s and heartbreak – a t-pained kanye with tribal drums (no hate)

    Joe,

whats up with the recent jay hate?…I remember when you were a firm soldier in Hov’s army….it’s probably cause eskay reveres him in every way possible that it causes you to antagonize him….

^Truthfully, his music from this year have been wack, like all of this year, he hasn’t made not one certified banger this year, he just go in the booth & say anything, he hasn’t gave me one dope verse this year, I haven’t heard a 16 from him that made me go “damn, this nigga is still the G.O.A.T he still got it” I can name 30 artist that killed the booth harder this year than hov. And his metaphor game is falling off

^better question why do rich successful young cats have to surround themselves with yes men.

^Because they get their cut from the success and fortune that Mayweather achieves.

For example, my dude Freck….he’s around Mayweather for the exposure

Freck Billionaire signed at deal with Mayweather (Filthy Rich records), “the kid is millionaire and never even dropped an album”, rich off the mixtape buzz.

    Plus

Characteristics of being youthful especially in America is having lack of respect, shallowness and just flat out flamboyance (nhjic).

^You act like Money may can’t go down in weight, and they could meet maybe at like 130-140 range.

Perhaps Pacquiao could go up a little in weight to meet up with Mayweather.

Pacquiao has a quick jab and the speed and footwork, but like you said Mayweather would destroy him because of his overall quickness and the power of Mayweather’s punch.

cause they from hood and aint use to having shit so naturally they want their man to experince wit them so the yes men always say yes cause they dont wanna risk living the lifestyle they living so they stroke thier ego its natural but i wouldent like that cause thats shit females do…if they got a nigga got money they putting up mad bullshit cause they not going back on lifestyle so they pet their ego and suck his sack and keep him happy so naturally if you nigga take advantage he gonna squeeze it to the limit (pause) i know i just went into another realm but its true

Well i’m kinda with him on some of the moves he made with his former friends, but some i’m against, I usually forget about his side beefs until there brung back up so i’m a lil in the dark right now. He don’t seem like a snake like everyone else makes him out to be. Seems like he’s willing to the cut the cancer before it effects him

    @cOLD

I got you (n/h), or I can give you the website I got it from? Whatever you like (n/h) (c) Tip Harris

I need that Half-a-mil album, who got it? He was about to come out with another album, I got these old freestyles on cassette (waves white ether flag) that he did, he went fucking in (n/h) R.I.P dude was sick

And he had the best song on the Belly soundtrack

  123. Chase Says:

Also Texas beat Oklahoma, the Big 12 Championship will be against Missouri, so either Oklahoma, Texas or Texas Tech goes. One of them has to play against Missouri in the Big 12 chip.

^Ahhhh, so thats where the confusion comes in. Well I don’t know how to call it then. i mean, after watching that game on sat night, Tech doesnt look like a better team than either TX or OU. Tech just managed to beat TX, so I can’t say that they are an overall better team than them, they were just better on that day. ANd TX beat OU handedly, but OU bust Tech’s ass, so thats a tough decision as to who should face Mizz in the championship. But I honestly would like to see TX play alabama for the BCS title.
