let’s be real, Curtis has made one good album.

    ^^
Sure, if you’re not counting Guess Who’s Back or Power of the Dollar.

  2. I Fux Says:

Kurupt has a nice little career.

  3. rex hussla Says:

    >>lol, true, I thought guy was hinting at positive change.

$10 says he brings up mixtapes and tries to act like Curtis invented them. typical Curtis stan rhetoric.

LF- I think this weird ass white kid in the cubicle across from mine, is singing that “Beserker” song from “Clerks”, under his breath….(none)

  9. b-ease Says:

    ^^
Why, because it doesnt support your argument? When I said Harlem World was better than any complete body of work Fab dropped, you said,
Best of Fab Mixtape>Harlem World. I said mixtapes don’t count, you said that was arbitrary. By that token, isnt not counting those two project doing the same thing, but multiplied by like 3?

  10. I Fux Says:

blah blah blah, neither of those projects measure up to GRODT. thats why I’m not counting them, not because ones a mixtape.

    ^^^
no. he changed the format as to which a new artist utlizes the mixtape. 50 took popular songs, remixed them, and make them his OWN. it came to the point where people thought they were HIS songs. this technique has since been copied by loads of rappers since.

  15. moresickaMC Says:

who invented the modern mixtape? kid capri?

  16. Mark Twain Fame Says:

    to quote jumpoff

“50 made people look at the numbers”

    ^^^

and I think Jumpoff meant that as a negative comment …more about how many albums you sell less about the music thats on the album…but also it is IN FACT a reason why he changed the game. But thats an age old argument on Nah…so whatever.

Who said they measured up? They’re good, that’s sufficient for this debate. Are you saying that POD and GHB are wack?

    to much to explain

    *crib notes*

    Kanye sold more
    Curtis and his stans bitched
made the argument of more appeal
    50 sold 10mill
50 and his stans need to stfu

^Exactly. I was gonna say something, but i figured if they thought this, then trying to explain why its false would be a moot point

no. but he was the FIRST as a relative new artist to utlize it in a song format. cut the crap eskay. u know u was copping them classic mixtapes. tell ur BFF charlie hamilton to make a mixtape as classic as 50 Cent Is the Future, then holler at me

  26. Mark Twain Fame Says:

I don’t agree with what guy’s saying about Curtis and mixtapes, but your interpretation is not what he was getting at. Take for instance the “Fat Fat” song where 50 took the De La beat. That song got mad burn on Hot 97 and I’m sure the average person didnt realize that it wasnt an original song. At least that’s what I think he was trying to say.

  30. Mark Twain Fame Says:

thats how we do album titles on Nah when we in an argument… we shorten them bitches up…

pod(no rock band) – power of a dollar
    GHB- ghess who’s back

  36. b-ease Says:

But they’re good. And you said 50 only had one good album. That’s not true, and I’m pretty sure you know that’s not true.

But to take your example, can I say that Jay only had 3 “good albums” because nothing else measures up to Bluepring, RD, or Vol.2? That’s some ass backwards logic es.
