Video: David Banner Speaks Politics w/ DJ Hyphen

David Banner stopped by KUBE 93 in Seattle on 10/5/08 to talk with DJ Hyphen and Sunday Night Sound Session about the importance of the 2008 presidential election. He explained why he supports Barack Obama, what the presidential candidate represents to him, and why it’s critical that the youth get involved in the political process.

    he raps on Heartless.

….. that shits not rapping, thats post GRODT 50 singing/rapping, shits terriawful, no one needs to hear an album that equates to a break-up letter …. I can’t believe I’m even pointing this out but if 50 made the same exact song you would never ever stop clowning for it, I understand they are different artists but this shit is undefendable eskay

… as previously stated i think he gets a pass for this one, he has earned the respect of one pass, all the greats have at least one god awful album some come early or middle of their career some towards the end but he has done enough classic shit that he is allowed to fall on his face once, but co-sign on skipping this one all together I don’t even wanna hear anymore, he gets a pass this time but the next album better be something insanely good

well, it’s not singing, listen to it again and you’ll see.

of course I would clown Curtis, but Kanye is not Curtis.

you just weren’t expecting Kanye to do what he’s doing and so you’re resisting it, which I understand. I don’t wanna hear a whole album of him singing either, but I think Heartless is good.

it won’t be my favorite Kanye album, that’s for sure, but I dont think any of the songs that have leaked are particularly bad. keep in mind that I clown niggas for even listening to R&B.

pffft at giving a pass. Judge for urself homie..if u like it, more power to u, if not, use it as an ashtray. Ur the consumer at the end of the day ..tell that mofo to cook them gyros right

I did listen again before I posted it just to be sure

you can say he is not singing but thats semantics be clear he is definitely harmonizing which is exactly what 50 does

heartless beat is crazy but everything else is ass cheeks just like I say with most 50 songs give that beat to someone else who will do it justice

I agree it’s partially cause it’s not what i’m expecting but thats like 2 % the other 98 % is the fact that its trash I can’t fathom how you can defend this, especially since it goes against pretty much everything you’ve ever said on this site, shit if that was t-pain or chris brown you would you would rather have pitchforks through your ears than listen to that, I admit kanye has earned a pass to forgive and forget but not to pretend shits actually tolerable

^you’re over exaggerating so much its not even funny.
