    @ Ty

The freestyle of charles I heard was before he was the internet “chosen one” it didn’t move me, and your the one who said a while ago that you only need one song to dictate if you like a artist or not when I tried to get you to listen to juvenile, so what’s really the difference between my logic & yours?

….. because I can listen to Juve and say thats a different category of rap I don’t like, I don’t like any rap that sounds like that any of it, I have heard lots of juve songs ( except slow motion I can’t lie thats a guilty pleasure ) and I hate them all I just don’t like that type of rap ( and thats why I said you probably wouldn’t like charles either ) but at the same time you do listen to some real good rap so I guess I just get thrown off when you go back and forth from talking about nas and cormega to webbie and max b. ( just using webbie as an example since you even say ace hood is trash ) also again it’s about how you say it because you go out of your way to say I’m not gonna listen to this just because I don’t like his shirt or he looks corny or some shit and coming from someone else I’d probably let it slide but with you wanting to do something in rap I would think you would try and adapt an different attitude especially if you ever want people to give you chance

… word and I think Charles is the nicest out of that group and wale second, I would still guess wale is the most known but maybe I have missed the boat on how much shine ace hood is getting but while I avoid the radio mtv/bet when someone really blows up like you guys are making it seem like ace hood has I hear about it whether its soulja boy d4l dem franchise boys petey pablo j-kwon chingy, I didn’t watch those channels or listen to the radio then either but you couldn’t escape knowing those songs so i guess I’m just waiting to be overwhelmed by the amount of ace hood songs I hear being played, are or you guys telling me he has reached that status and I just don’t know yet ?

the climate of the streets has changed when I was younger….the streets was always the hood dudes or people literally hanging out in the streets keeping it funky….Now the “streets” consist of a mixture of the net, hood, clubs, colleg campuses, and rave crowds and any other form of a group of people….

Ace hood has the teenage young adult crowd popping and is ready to take off with the khaled co-sign…most of nahrighters are 90’s listeners and were once the streets back in the day but are music has aged and in has rushed a new era and thus a different climate has came to fruition…

Now the streets aint necessarily hood niggas buying shit from the bootleg dude but a mixture of demographics of people…NOW in the south the streets have more a push and more say than any other region as far as the rappers coming out today….so the streets now in the south is like what it was back in the day when New York ran things…for ex. shawty lo, jeezy, plies…those are street pushed artist through the hood/ghetto….d4l, stat quo, and others are a conglomerate push through different demographics..

    ^^

    Nosign.

But cosign on them both being super ill…Da two ah dem been duppying the scene for a min now

    Dancehall > HipHop
    ^^^

Lyrically nobody nah come close to either one. They just never had that A list appeal.

Of course Mavado is the hottest thing on the scene,
Kartel is Large as it gets
Sizzla has been the boss for a ages
    Bounty is forever a Godfather

But Busy and Assassin are B-listers who should be in the top flights.

  8. Joe 88 Says:

I understand what you mean ty, and maybe later on, I could appreciate charles (n/h), but it’s just me to pre judge rappers, skill has nothing to do with my prejudgement, lol I just go for the gusto, if you have a mustard stain on ya shirt, no spins, lol j/k, but me being me, i’ll prolly listen to him on my own one day, then decide.

About the listening to all types of music, all of them (imo) have one thing in common, they speak from there heart most of the times, from cormega, to ali vegas, to webbie, to eli porter (bi-sexual bridal shower) j/k, it just feel like I can feel there struggle thru there music, maybe that’s my biggest flaw in convincing others to listen to rappers I like like webbie, they might look at it as “he’s wack” but I just hear the emotion in his lyrics, below average or not, & that’s what I check for when I listen to a artist. So belive me, i’ll give charles a shot, (n/h) just on my own time

    I’m out ya’ll peace

… word I can dig that but again maybe I’m over valuing how well known Wale is in the south, maybe I’m just thinking he is bigger than he really is down there just cause he is from the DMV, like when the Clipse first popped up they were big, I keep equating what you guys are saying ace hood as as being that big, in which case i would of heard his shit by now somewhere ( I actually just listened to cash flow to make sure I didn’t hear it and not realize it and I haven’t ) but still maybe I’m over estimating how well know Wale is down south thats entirely possible, like I have been saying this whole time I can only speak for the tri-state and I know Wale is more well know than ace hood here but like we have all said thats just here ….

But Budden emotion & depression is a lil too depressing for me, & I can get depressed with the best of them, lol. Nigga be talking bout wishing he paid for abortions & shit, he reaches the max when it comes to depression. Em’s depression was cool cause it was something I could prolly never go thru, but the picture he painted was vivid, I would never know what it would be like tryna get on being white, so em emo shit is hot to me, but I don’t wanna get to joe emo mode, cause if I do, I might commit suicide, lol

.. LMAO word and I never had a problem when someone said they don’t want to hear his shit cause it’s depressing I can’t argue with how it makes you feel or how you judge something I just used to take exceptions to people saying he couldn’t rap, thats why I’m so big on Charles hamilton right now because theres a lot of really good rap out now but it’s boring to me, dudes got skills and can definitely rap but it just doesn’t get me moving ( none ) like Charles music does , theres something new different and ill about his music that is missing from basically everyone but him and jay electronica,

also even when i was at my most lil wayne hater moment I still acknowledge that his flow was crazy and he had a great ear for beats and that he occasionally had some ill lines I just couldn’t sit through entire songs,

What if a presidential candidate was of Middle Eastern decent.

What would that mean exactly and why would it be ok for people to say such wild things about said candidate?

…. I just wrote an article for school about the “Bradley effect ” and about the way muslim and arab has become a racial slur, I used Colin Powells statement he made when endorsing O’Blickey as a starting point

” Powell said he was “troubled” by some Republicans’ comments that Obama, a Christian, is a Muslim. Beyond the smears, Powell said, is the real question: if Obama were a Muslim, why would there be a problem?

“Is there something wrong with some 7-year-old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she could be president?” Powell said.

Powell recalled seeing a photo in the New Yorker magazine of Elsheba Khan at the grave of her son, Specialist Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, a Manahawkin, N.J., soldier killed in Iraq on Aug. 6, 2007, at the age of 20. He noted that above the awards — Purple Heart, Bronze Star — listed on the headstone was an Islamic crescent and star.

“His name was Kareem Rashad Sultan Khan, and he was an American. He was born in New Jersey. He was 14 years old at the time of 9/11, and he waited until he can go serve his country, and he gave his life,” Powell said. “I’m troubled about the fact that, within the party, we have these kinds of expressions.”

Khan and three other soldiers from the Stryker Brigade Combat Team of the 2nd Infantry Division out of Fort Lewis, Wash., were killed by a blast in Baqouba, Iraq. He was buried with full military honors in Arlington National Cemetery. ”

    and what I said

” When watching Colin Powell announce his endorsement for Obama, he said something that I have been wondering out loud myself for the past couple of weeks. With all this talk about Obama is an Arab or Obama is a Muslim I could not stop thinking, well so what if he was ? Since when did Arab or Muslim become a racial slur ? So because someone is Arab or Muslim we are supposed to think they are unfit to lead this great country of ours ? Islam in its true teachings is one of the most peaceful religions on this planet but, because of some radicals that distort the Koran and fight falsely in the name of Allah, Americans have been conditioned to think all Muslims are like this when that is not the case. “

.. I disagree how could it not be taken as an insult, people are questioning his compentency because they think he is arab or muslim, people are trying to paint him this way to try to create a separation between him and the ” typical american ” never in the history of the presidency has one candidate tried to portray the other as un american, think about how dangerous that is if he wins the election all these angry redneck inbreeds will think theres an actual terrorist as our president, and yes thats what people will think thats the problem to too many people in this country there is no distinction between arab/muslim and terrorist ….
