Lets keep it one hunnid. NONE of the niggas on that cover are famous in any real sense. I don’t think that should matter when quantifying their music, but whatever…

  2. the watcherz Says:

wale is internet famous….sadly enough it iz what it iz…..strangly enough their a large number of people who dnt follow up on the blogs that much…there alot of people who never been on a blog period….but how many people you know havent watched bet or mtv or mtv jamz which ace got on smash right now…..just cause u ignore it dosent mean it’s not out there…i never seen wale on anything other than the internet

  3. G7 Says:

    nigganet….the gift and the curse

  4. Ty big's Says:

To say you don’t like ones music is one thing, okay, that’s your opinion, but to lie to yourself & say things like “ace hood isnt more noticable than charles” is beyond stupid.

…. and your only talking about your point of view in B-more, so maybe you think Ace hood is more known in B-more but I promise Charles is more well known in the tri-state than ace hood,as Wale is much more known up here, now I realize the country exists of much more than those 3 states but thats all I can speak for just like you can only speak for b-more so for anyone to put one as more known than the other as fact is a ridiculous statement, unless you got some exit polls taken from registered xxl subscribers than you can’t say shit for fact …..

I still would have a hard time believing anyone on that cover is more known countrywide than Wale but thats just my guess

  5. eskay Says:

more people know Curren$y then Ace Hood just off his association with Wayne.

I got money that says Blu has a bigger fan base and could fill more clubs than Ace Hood.

B.o.B. has a chorus on arguably the second biggest Southern rapper on the planet’s new album, which also happens to feature Ludacris.

and you’re tellin me more people know Ace Hood?

  6. DIGITAL SCALES Says:

Another nigga nobody will care about

Eskay form bonds with certain niggas and feels obligated to post there shit

But like I said, outside nahright not many people heard of wale, and if they did they prob call him Whale

    ^^
But what does it matter who’s more recognizable? If that’s how you determine who’s a dope artist, you lost. If that’s not how you determine it, what point exactly are you making? That wasnt rhetorical. Seriously, what is the point?

    LMAO….ROFL….OMG…..LOL…

you seriously can’t believe that….Ace hood has the most youtube hits outta anyone on that xxl cover…..Blu couldn’t even fill a middle school gym…are you serious fam….

Ace hood is waaaaay more known than currensy and blu….you have a warped sense of geography….Do you think New york is the only state in america?….wow…this is too much

  13. eskay Says:

    >>Another nigga nobody will care about

I love how niggas on here think that because they don’t care about somebody, nobody else does. meanwhile Mickey is on the cover of XXL and you’re yet to turn in your Mazzi response.

Ya’ll niggas need to get off the fucking computer, or get some new hip friends that actually live in the real real world, not the world you created based around your opinions, no one knows who none of them niggas are on that XXL cover, period. But someone who don’t own a computer can say they heard of ace hood before of any of those niggas.

Most of ya’ll don’t even go to poppin clubs, ya’ll go to sit in’s where they snap there fingers after a wale song is finished, and if ya’ll did ya’ll would not argue the obvious. It’s no way in the world that DJ Khalid is the most recognizable DJ in the game, that put his artist on “out here grinding” & got rick ross on “cash flow” * got trey songs on his first single not be recognized before wale, smh, ya’ll borderline L7 because of ya’ll opinions alone.

And if ya’ll don’t go out, I understand, but some of the shit being typed leads me to belive that ya’ll don’t leave out too much

  18. eskay Says:

    >>Ace hood is waaaaay more known than currensy and blu….you have a warped sense of geography….Do you think New york is the only state in america?….wow…this is too much

what does New York have to do with any of this? you need to get off New York niggas dicks for real Boosie, cuz you sound like a bitch.

“waaah waaah, NY niggas are hating on Ace Hood cuz he’s from the South”

GTFOH. we calling him out cuz he’s garbage and you know it. now you trying to quantify this nigga by Youtube hits? you’re a moron.

    ___________________________________________________________

Never said that’s how I determine a dope artist…I like who I like and most rappers or musical acts that I listen too, most people might not know or like…..but I’m saying that to really determine who is more noticeable is to ask the most obscure people who really don’t know all that much into rap or are just surface listeners…..Ace hood wins hands down….eskay needs to get off the net and travel…I mean you hold up a wale poster and most niggas think that’s michael vick or just some nigga in jail

  20. SDP Says:

i know for a fact my generation is on the internet more than they watch tv.

    ^^
What in my statement would make you think I wasnt aware of that (yea, I know you’re question was rhetorical). I said fame shouldnt matter when we’re talking about art. I’m glad them dudes is on the cover, and def didnt write anything that implied anything else. Saying that none of them were famous is just the truth, gots nothing to do with whether I’m happy to see them on the cover or not.

  22. Ty big's Says:

you seriously can’t believe that….Ace hood has the most youtube hits outta anyone on that xxl cover

…. so thats how we are judging shit now youtube hits ? how many of those hits are the same 12 people just watching shit over and over again, I’m a known budden stan and becoming a known charles hamilton stan and I have never watched any youtube clips of theirs that aren’t posted on here so what does that mean ? youtube hits means something but you can’t use it to compare artists different artists do different things and put their shit out there different ways, charles may not have as many youtube hits but I bet he has more mixtape downloads ( not that I care I’m just saying ) …..

  24. Ty big's Says:

Even people on the internet look at it as not the real world, I do, I talk to ya’ll everyday damn near, but I don’t personally know none of you muthafuckers, I don’t even know what half of ya’ll look like, so why would I take ya’ll co-sign more seriously than a person I know in real life? lol

  26. Boosie Says:

ALL I got to say is YOUTUBE hits…..Ace Hood wins

  27. b-ease Says:

but I’m saying that to really determine who is more noticeable is to ask the most obscure people who really don’t know all that much into rap or are just surface listeners…

    ^^
But my question remains, what is the purpose of even pointing out who is more “famous”? What does it have to do with anything?

  28. the watcherz Says:

more people know Curren$y then Ace Hood just off his association with Wayne.
    ^^
now thats a tougher arguement…..u still can say ace off certain factors….but as far as wale and ace go theirs nothing to argue

But what does it matter who’s more recognizable? If that’s how you determine who’s a dope artist, you lost.
    ^^
i can not lie status do matter sumwhat….it shouldent be everything but its sumthing….t.i swagger like us is a dope record …but if all those niggas wit status dident hop on it ..do you think it woulda been as big….i dont think so…status play a role…it might be a small one to you or me but it means sumthing….

  29. Joe 88 Says:

  31. b-ease Says:

but if all those niggas wit status dident hop on it

    ^^
But how did they get their status? Making dope music. That shit was handed, all four of them niggas all went from being borderline jokes at what point to the top of the field. So I still stand by my point.

  32. DIGITAL SCALES Says:

If you wanna tell him who digital scales is and he decides to diss me(he wouldnt) but then id make a diss track…but nah no point, if i had a problem with dude id see him at his place of work

the way ya’ll niggas get aggy over so called “internet artists” is funny but pathetic. why you mad Joe, cuz Gucci ain’t getting no burn on the blogs?

for every Webbie fan there’s a nigga who like Charles Hamilton. why does that anger you? cuz you don’t like him?

if Boosie and Joe88 and Digi liked these artists we wouldn’t be having this argument, but they don’t, so they feel the need to try and downplay any shine these guys get and announce that “nobody knows these people outside the internet.”

well, I’d rather be Charles Hamilton and have fans across the web, which stretches across the planet, then to be a local ass nigga like Boosie selling out the same 2 clubs in Baton Rouge.

Videos ain’t what they used to be if you were talking downloads maybe you could make a case but shit I don’t even know if Wale or Charles Hamilton have a youtube video nor do I care so how can you factor all the people that think like me into your youtube vote ?
    _________________________________________________________

Let’s not down play youtube….I’m not talking about some random dvd bullshit I’m talking about an official video that is shown on BET or possibly mtv 3….anyone can check out youtube at a local library or at their friends house…Most people don’t just hop on youtube and playing videos….BUT guranteed that if they saw a video on Bet that they will watch it again on youtube if they want to see the video again and not have to wait…..

And yes Youtube is the best indicator that we have in this discussion at this point unless you can provide some other evidence….If you want to go billboard charts or wikipedia profile we definitely can….I mean we can go to google searches or yahoo searches and type in ace hood and see that he bodies every other competition….we are on the internet so I can only show you in internet terms…I can’t collect 80 people and say who do you know wale or ace hood….it is what it is

as for your question about what rappers got famous off the interent I would say o about 95 % of the rappers out now or in the last couple of years, Budden fan base, you think people would know who Term is without the internet

^SMH, no one knows these niggas, budden included, if he was “that poppin” as ya’ll say he was, why his album keep getting pushed back? If he was in popular demand like everyone on the internet says he is, he would’ve been had something out there, he went to a independent & his shit still got pushed pack, smfh, he gets love on the internet & can’t even get a album out on a internet label *dead*

Why would a label put trust in a internet rapper when internet fans only download anyway?

  60. Ty big's Says:

    radio> internet
    print media> internet

…. do you understand the concept of micro and macro ? you understand most radio and print media ( notice I said most ) is in the immediate area only ? not the internet the internet is worldwide, so everything you get on the radio and print media you can get here to, does it work the other way around ? nope, even TV is mostly just regulated nationally so if your an internet rapper you stand a better chance of being recognized worldwide but because they aren’t playing that shit on the radio in b-more or louisiana it’s not important, just important enough that you guys need to come here and bitch about it with people located all across the globe ….

  61. TheCo!!inB Says:

well, I’d rather be Charles Hamilton and have fans across the web, which stretches across the planet, then to be a local ass nigga like Boosie selling out the same 2 clubs in Baton Rouge.

what niggas are really avoiding here is who flat out is a better artist. to me (and anyone who seriously loves the shit out of music) which of these artist gives you music with replay value. whose giving you verses that don’t alienate but also don’t fall into the standard niche of what a NY/SOUTHERN/WEST COAST/MIDWEST artist should sound like. some niggas on XXL’s list fall in and some don’t.
Keep it mother fuckin funky though cause arguing about who’s more known is about as irrelevant and arguing about first week sales these days…youre grossly missing the point
and with that said Wale is shittin on most of these niggas, Blu and Hamilton are close behind

    >e gets love on the internet & can’t even get a album out on a internet label

he’s dropping an album in a couple weeks.
