    for the last time..

    there is no INTERNET WORLD.

    the people you see everyday

    work with

MOST IF NOT ALL of them go on the internet..

    oh my God..

  2. S.S.BlockBurner Says:

budden included, if he was “that poppin” as ya’ll say he was, why his album keep getting pushed back? If he was in popular demand like everyone on the internet says he is, he would’ve been had something out there, he went to a independent & his shit still got pushed pack, smfh, he gets love on the internet & can’t even get a album out on a internet label

    ^^

when i hear Budden’s songs i hear perfection… not tryin 2 make excuses but thats real.. if it took ye, t.i. or jay 2 years 2 make an album yea i’d be pissed but it would be worth the wait

hey joe I think releasing music online is a good way to get feedback from the masses.

^Co-sign, the funny thing is, i’m not hating or tryna deny the internets impact, but most of these guys that be online so long forget & really thinks the internet favorite = more popular, which hasn’t been proven yet, until a solid artist can become a superstar off the internet (besides soulja boy) I wont belive most of the boo boo these niggas spit, they let there feelings get in the way. Personally I hate ace hood, & will never listen to his songs, but I have heard them on the radio plenty of times, heard him in clubs, etc, but have yet to hear of a wale, charles etc offline yet, & there doper than ace, but that’s not the point of this arguement, which they fail to realize, there letting there feelings & there opinions get in the way of facts, & nas said it the best

you niggas deal with emotions like bitches – Nas

Why would a label put trust in a internet rapper when internet fans only download anyway?

    ^*perplexed*

    ^good fucking question.

….. thats why in the next couple of years you will see labels move to selling downloadable links instead of going to the store, guess what either way you need to be on the internet to get it, also people need to realize rappers don’t make money off their albums, most don’t obviously 50 and Em do and a few others but most the time your getting shit after you pay the label back so if you sign a deal all your doing is signing a deal to advertise yourself that way you can have concerts do advertisments all that, thats where you make the money and that where it’s always been not in album sales, the suits get that money …

Youtube is the BEST indicator of who’s popular in terms of music on a national level on the internet…Youtube is the next thing besides tv and radio….XXLMAG is not a very good indicator….XXL magazine is not the best indicator of who is more popular….

    ^^

xxl mag is a magazine that gets distributed around the nation.

i dont see where the word POPULAR isn’t written all over that??

    but guess what

    this argument is

    tv radio vs. internet

and youtube is on the internet…are we done yet?

” However, Stat clarified to DX that the Eminem and Jay-Z collaboration was in fact not “Dance On It,” but another song, one that may make its way to the buying public very soon.
“The song that featured Jay-Z is a song that Em’s putting on his album called ‘My Syllielable” – it’s like ‘my syllable,’

In addition to his own future recordings, Statquo plans to release everything he recorded during his stint at Shady/Aftermath.
“All that shit coming out,” he revealed. “Everything that I done rapped on, everybody gonna hear it. You can quote me on that. Everything that I done rapped on, I don’t care who did the beat…Everything that my voice on that I’ve done over these years with them, everybody gonna hear it. I’m just waiting on the right time to put it out…I’m talking about 300, 400 Dre [tracks]. I’m talking about 100 Em beats I’m spittin’ on…”

plus: game and fifty on tha new busta rhymes album called B.O.M.B.
the rumor is that will be an old fifty and bus-a-bus track, and game added a verse on this now. SO?Maybe? let we see that bullshit thus!

Why would a label put trust in a internet rapper when internet fans only download anyway?
^why would an artist with any sense sign with a major to begin with…..signing with a label is the dumbest shit on earth. it is being proven right now that the industry is folding in on itself because they cannot evolve pass cd format sales. print media is dying and radio is dying (and i’m a huge advocate for print media)….this is all shit that is being statistically proven. the internet is winning right now.
the only benefit to signing with a major is their ability to put your music out on shelves, but if I, the actual artist can control how I put my shit out and when, AND bank on sites like nahright to give me access to ears i’d gladly take that over interscope.

^No it’s not, cause ya’ll argue that the streets has as much power as the internet right? As many people opinions matters online as the streets right? then how could a nigga like 50, who got black balled from the industry blow up with the odds against him? labels aint wanna pick him up, etc, but his music & street buzz carried him to the promise land, if budden had the same street buzz as fiddy, he would’ve been had a album out, the streets cryed out & manage to get the lox out of both of the bad boy deals, if the streets aint behind you, you aint shit, until proven other wise.

And yes I know these events happen before the internet really showcased unknown local ass artist like wale, but hey, if they had the streets to back em, they would’ve been out. Besides I keep my ear to the streets

    TV ? Radio or internet ? …..

let me take you back to right before Kingdom Come dropped

on the radio Egypt said ” and we are about to drop the brand new never been heard before Jay-z song called show me what you got ”

to which I replied to myself ” Bitch I’m from nah right… I heard that shit hours ago “

Are you niggas serious? The internet is the fucking end all be all now a days to getting that push….magazines dont matter, radio never fucking mattered (c) Cassie, Florida, Cassidy, Rocko, Shawty Lo etc……How do you think Lupe broke? Shyt I would ride with the new wave of spitters anyday than some wack ass nigga named Ace Hood…hes garbage, say Im lieing?

  16. Boosie Says:

    Joe 88,

Niggas on the net take saying truth as hating like if you say something that may not be a positive for their internet rapper, they take that as hating and get REAL emotional…Like I said Ace hood was more known than any artist on the xxl mag, they took it as I don’t like the other rappers, when actually I’m not that much of a fan of Ace hood. Like when you mention something about Joe budden and its a true statement they take it as you don’t like him and you are straight hating..

ex…”Joe Budden needs give up the dust and not be emotional”…

response….”Are you crazy Joe Buddens is the best rapper out right now, no one is fucking with him right now”

When in all reality Joe Budden is not even on the scene to be the “best rapper out right now” Sure he’s dope but let’s get a grip and take a look at the real world….and I LIKE joe budden…but this can be misconstrued as hate….you right niggas are emotional.

  17. TheCo!!inB Says:

to clairfy label will not be selling downloadable links, they’ll be selling a subscription based service like the internet porn industry does right now.

^Well your a fool, why would you sign to anything, when you can start your own? I would rather sign to a major then sign to a independent that’s not my own, smfh. Atleast a major would get you notice, joell ortiz can’t showcase a show in baltimore, or anywhere left of NY, he couldn’t even be the opening act, why? Cause he went to a independent, save a couple dollars that he prolly don’t see anyway because he would sell enough records to get, & he still aint nowhere, haven’t ya’ll learned anything from the south? 24. All Day Every Day Says:

If Im a OG Rapper (c) Meth, Redman, Ghostface,Trick Daddy etc……I would never sign with a major..for what…you can do the shyt yourself..only thing the major label will do is rape you for your album sales, run up your budget (c) Anything played on BET and heard on the radio……now if your a new artist then it gets tougher….Majors are ran by white jewish people who have no clue what they are doing….You can single handly push your own shit thru the net easyyyyyyyy and build a solid fan base for touring….

  25. All Day Every Day Says:

the internet is the new streets…smarten up nakkas….the streets tell white people what to buy (c) Jeezy…lol
