DALLAS – Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was involved in a fight with one of his bodyguards, according to Dallas police, the night before attending a previously scheduled team meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
No one was arrested and no one will be charged in connection with the fight late Tuesday night at The Joule, an upscale downtown hotel.

^ ^ I can’t find a link to the actual study, but the numbers are attributed to Rick Wade of the Obama campaign. One million black males are in jail, so that explains 1/8th of the number. A lot of people also think that electoral politics has no effect on their lives. Neither candidate has done much in the way of specifically lobbying the black community for their vote…Obama can’t do it for fear of being painted ‘too black’ and McCain probably figures the black vote is overwhelmingly going to Obama no matter what he says.

On the flipside, I believe 20 million African-Americans *are* registered to vote, which is roughly 68% of the black voting age population (18+). I don’t know what the numbers are for white registration, but I doubt they’re much higher, if at all. Voter turnout for the Presidency is regularly around 50% of the voting age population. A lot of people don’t take the time or have the concern to get to the polls. Since we all pay taxes, I encourage people to vote, run for office, and lobby for what they believe in. Paying taxes without participating in the process is like paying a prostitute without getting laid.
