Yo, I aint last at Bowie more than a month though. They kept fuckin’ up my money. That’s when I withdrew and went to Towson the followin’ semester. I gave HBCU’s one more try (Morgan) when I got home from NYC in ‘03. After that I was done.

***Speaking of finishing (none), how long you got left in school? I’m hung up on math, but still, only like 15 credits left…I’m sure your internship counts, credit wise, too?

^December ’08 holmes. I’m still waitin’ for that internship credit to clear because the professor said it takes a couple of weeks for the grade to post. Other than that, all my credits should be fulfilled for graduation this semester. I just have to wait for it clear before I fill out my application. If it doesn’t post by Friday then I will be in her office Monday mornin’, as well as the graduation office, to make sure that I don’t have to get niggerish. But Towson is good with the paperwork (no PD3) so I should be fine.

I gave HBCU’s one more try (Morgan) when I got home from NYC in ‘03. After that I was done.

    ^Why?

^The same problem all HBCU’s have: administration. They can’t get shit right in the office. Major problems:

-loan money doesn’t go through in time
    -FAFSA errors
    -slow with the rebate checks
    -credits not accounted for
-ghetto ass faculty (walk in their slippers, radio turned up, roll their eyes type heffas)

Curriculum wise, I probably would’ve been finished because HBCU work, from what I heard, isn’t as challenging as predominately white schools (Towson, UMCP, Frostburg, etc). But, I know shit happens for a reason and I can honestly say that Towson U. has made me a more well-rounded person. When I first got here back in the day, I was some “extra” B’more shit: hard time communicating (literally, people often couldn’t understand what I was sayin’… both Black and white classmates/professors), didn’t interact with any non-Blacks (which is kinda ridic at a predominately white school because in the real world of “9 to 5” most of your co-workers will be white), and a host of other hang-ups. Then I realized the advantages I had because I was usually the only, or one of the few, Black males in class so I started using that to my advantage. And I learned how the system worked from the inside-out, infiltrating and picking up on certain things. I still don’t give two shits about Towson and they will never seen an alumni dollar, but since I returned to finish it was worth me finishing here rather than a local HBCU.
